upgrade to a smart ceiling fan with the additional purchase of the Brilliant Smart Remote Control

If you have a Broadlink (i.e. RM4 Pro) that emits an RF signal, you won't need to purchase the smart remote control as it can be programmed directly into the broadlink device and then further integration to Alexa and Google Home.

    • Oh wow I didn’t even think of my Broadlink for my fans!

    • How do you know if existing fans can do this ? I moved into house with them there and don't know the model etc. they are AC, wall controllers. I am guessing you need ones with a standard remote to do this

Does it have a radio frequency remote? It won't work with a wall controller.

    • I have tried that with my fans at home with our RM4 pro, however, I can't seem to get a simple on off command to work with my google home.

AC? Yuck. You’re gonna have a ceiling fan for years, invest in DC.

Can these fans survive being mounted on a side wall? For example, to create a wind tunnel?

    • Agree with you, with the cost of installation being same, it's just better to invest in best fan available in the market

Hi Mike, I never knew there were different options in ceiling fans. Could you please explain the difference and why DC is better than AC. Thanks.

    • Fan? Yuck. Get an ac and never have to worry about ugly chopper above your head.

  • Looks like all gone!

    • Have you been to Cannington store ..? I’m planing to go now
