Meh. It regularly goes cheaper and this isn't close to the all time low.
Just wait for Black Friday in a month time. IMO $1320 isn't good price considering it has reached under $1200 for a few times.
although, as the op stated, they might be clearing stock, so, would depend on how many were left by then
I don't think they are clearing stock just yet, considering the next model should be out by April 2025 just like any previous years.
Plus if they are clearing stock, it should be sub $1200. This is just a normal discount.

Yeah alot of hype for the Arc Ultra and keen to see reviews. We should get a good idea on the outcome of Q990D vs Arc Ultra by black friday next month i reckon
Personally i would go with Arc ultra if further expansion (subs, speakers) is planned. If you just want something that works and its enough then this.
For me samsung had abysmal bass and now I have 2 subs which fill in the room nicelyAgreed
is it Samsung 990 series? how did you manage to add an extra sub other than the one that it comes with? I have another samsung branded wireless sub from a 3.1 system, let me know if there is a way to pair them to a 990(C which I have). thanks

I don't much about the Sonos but I feel like the Samsung will have better and more regular discounts.
Well the Arc Ultra is going to cost more than this on its own, and most certainly won't have as good bass or surround sound. If however cost isn't relevant, I'd be pretty confident that the Arc Ultra with the Sub 4 and 2 Era 100s will be better than this (although Sonos somehow still haven't ponied up for the licenses to support any modern DTS standards).
If you're spending "full set" sonos money you're far better off going down the fully discrete road.
Sure, and that's what I have, but i suspect these days there are a lot of people who wouldn't abide all the extra devices and wiring involved, but are still willing to pay top dollar for the best "clean" setup.
The arc ultra won't be even remotely worth the price difference.
Sonos has been stuffing up its product support a lot over the last 5 years. Used to recommend them strongly, but to be honest you'll have to pay over double this price for an equivalent setup (sub and surrounds add another $1500 minimum), and it won't probably sound anywhere near twice as good
i went this route (closer to $1k), due to tiring of waiting for the new arc ultra. different ballgame though really, eventually arc ultra will come on sale cheaper but still add 2x era300 + gen4sub best case would be $3-4k. they're better but not $2k+ better, you're not really getting any sound value outta that extra cost.
might go the sonos route eventually if the arc ultra proves worthy when i try kitting out multi-rooms of an entire house and multiple devices where it makes sense …if they haven't completely ruined their apps & usability.
What is the F version?
I assume he means the update to the Q990D. Not sure where he got F from considering it should be E.
The update for this bar won't be released till about April next year though.
Lowest price for HW-Q990C was $947. I am gonna wait for this price.

I have these, bought them for cheaper $1100 so not the cheapest.
I don’t recommend them - the audio quality isn’t as great as Sonos - if you need the best in a reasonable price get that.
