Exposed Concrete Rebar - How to Patch to Avoid Further Damage

Hi OZB Friends

Can I ask for some help please?

Sides of my house is concreated. On a section of the concrete, I can see the rebar is exposed and rusting has started. Attached the image here - https://ibb.co/gvVFTnb.

Is there any option to patch it to avoid further damages?

Thanks for your help

Concrete cancer. Time to knock down rebuild.

Definitely on the same level as asbestos, silicone dust, nuclear waste material and nuclear asbestos.

Is it spalling in just that area? Or is the whole slab kind of average?

Watch some youtube videos, it's a bit labour intensive if you want to do it right.

      nuclear asbestos

      The worst kind.

    • Thanks HerpinDerp.

Its on the ground - footpath. Not part of the main building.

You mean the ground outside your house? Or is this part of the main building?

    • Thanks bargaino. Yes, outside the house. Not part of the main building.

Adam and Eve were allegedly concreated.

That looks like a floor drain, which means that we’re looking down (birds eye view). Correct?
If so, simply wire brush the rust away. Paint with a rust inhibitor ( like Rust Away) then fill in the hole with 2-part Epoxy resin.

    • Thanks Cashless. Yes, photo taken from top giving a Birdseye view. Its outside the house - concreated all around the house. Not part of the main building.

      • So its slab on ground? Like a footpath?

        • yes, slab on the ground. Footpath around the house. thanks.
