i would wait for singles day, if the AUD dollar doesn't completely tank by then. crucial T500 gen 4 drives at a similar price and also perform well, plus $20 gift card by redemption https://crucialpromos.com.au/giveaway/ . 1TB drive street price seems to be around $129 - $20 = $109

    • Yep, saw that the T500 actually performs better overall than the 850X. Seems to be a very underrated drive as you don't hear about it as much as the WD, Samsung etc.

very hard to justify at that price, was $407 about a month ago

    • I'd be waiting till black friday on this one.

Almost the same price as the 990 pro a while back

  • I've had Amazon DE (Germany) scam me out of a SN850X by sending an empty box (Seller is Amazon Germany)
And then recently lose my 990 Pro from my most recent deal somewhere in an Amazon associated facility in Netherlands :( Anyone have a similar experience?

    Should've bought the Fikwot FN970

    • can't say the same re: amzn germany, my sn850x got here safely
