Lowest price I've seen for a high refresh 4K display since the G3223Q student deal went under $500. Only issue I see in this one for some gamers is the VA panel type. I'll still be waiting for prices to drop further at some point (hopefully…).

ya its a slow panel, response time is too low for fast competitive gaming
probably okay for cinematic solo adventure games but poor color accuracy & whitepoint could be an issue
VA Panel. Usually LGs' stands and monitor backing in these colours etc indicate more of an office focus than gaming. Just because gaming is in the name I don't think I'd personally classify this as a 'gaming' monitor.
Probably more along the lines of 'good office monitor, good enough for casual gaming use'.
Has USB C PD @ 65w.
Better off getting Ultra gear LG monitor that's 100 dollars cheaper QHD with 180ghz refresh rate than this. 397 Amazon price beat at OW if possible. Specifically for gaming I mean if you are comparing LG monitors.
For PC gamers I agree, but with PS5 Pro coming along this seems to be the cheapest 4K display with HDMI 2.1 connectivity that I can find outside of Kogan.
Do you reckon there's much difference, subjectively, between UHD & QHD for gaming & office wk?
Not at all (At least for the price difference), problem is on Consoles games are outputted at a certain resolution regardless of your display and for the best experience you require a 4K display. Especially with office work I see no reason to go above FHD, with QHD as the sweet spot for PC gaming.
PS5 and XSX both output 1440p. I've had both connected to my QHD monitor for years with no issues.
@jard001: Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think this setting only refers to system display output but the games itself don't run optimised settings for the changed resolution. For instance if a game runs at 4k 30 it'll still run at 30 fps at QHD and FHD unless the game has a performance mode
id wait for the KTC M27P20P to drop to $500 next year here, its panel is fast af
Not a monitor or gaming person myself, but it seems like some reviews are mixed re gaming use - ppl complain about motion blur, oversaturated colours in moving picture, lack of settings commonly found in gaming monitors, there, I already sound like an ai summary on amazon reviews.
