Think how happy the engineers will be at Microsoft that someone is actually using Bing.

      • +4

They might be able to justify the existence of their roles for at least another year.

      • +1

Gotta get those free Microsoft rewards points somehow 😂

        Plus Copilot destroys Gemini

        • +1

For real though. Swapping the default over to Bing instead of Google has probably got me a good hundred odd bucks over the years.

  • comes down to $1939.35 with $5 trade in for me… Still thinking if it will get as low as the launch deal.

    I remember the 256GB was around $1250ish.

    • +2

      I grabbed S24 Ultra 512gb for 1200$ at launch

    • what does?

      • SORRY.. FOLD 6, 1 tb

I think most are already out of stock, doesn't get added to the card and when I search for the same product, it looks like out of stock

    ex : Galaxy Watch6 40mm LTE Gold - $280

    • +1

I just checked all the watches, and it's only the 'Galaxy Watch6 40mm LTE Gold' that's out of stock/won't add to cart.

      • Galaxy Watch6 44mm LTE Silver - $305

ended up getting this for $175, rewards + tradein Watch 5

        • Hi, can you please share which rewards yiunused and wilhich watch 5 you traded-in and what you got for it?

          • @ClaudeVL: 40mm BT watch5 $95
$35 from reward points from S90C deal

  • damn, no s24 ultra deals.

    • no tablet deals either.. dammit

Amazing, Thanks OP, brought one to replace my stupid pixel watch 2. The stupid thing cannot even record a workout without crashing since the update.

    • brought one to replace my stupid pixel watch 2. The stupid thing cannot even record a workout without crashing since the update.

so they still haven’t fixed anything since pixel watch 1. 🤦‍♀️

  • do these run the tizen OS? or android wear OS?

    • +6

Samsung has been running Wear OS since Watch4.

  • +1

Can anyone confirm if the watches come with a band?

    • +2

All watches comes with 'Galaxy Watch6 Fabric Band Slim (S/M)'

Automatically added to cart once you use the coupon code.

      • But you have to add a band first? My order automatically adds the default band $119. How to remove?

        • Add a watch to cart from the Secret Sale Page, then use the promo code 'SSTEN' and it will automatically add the watch band.

    • It says face only. It comes with free fabric band slim or you can purchase the eco-leather band for $119.

    • Comes with Limp Bizkit

      • hmm you make me want to watch “The Fanatic”. it’s starring John Travolta as Fred Durst. (He directed the movie and it’s based on his own story)

haven’t watched it yet but saw it on prime video.

        • I will watch that now

          • @wtigers: saw a “spoiler free review” on YouTube. if you like trashterpieces apparently it will give you a good laugh. 😹

I’m still 50/50 I like normal movies but I like trashterpieces too.

No more secret once it's on Ozbargain

Great, thank you OP! Never had a non-garmin smart watch. Cost effective way to test how the sammy watch matches my galaxy phone.

  • +1

Worth to go from watch 4 to 6? Do you still have to hack to get the blood pressure ECG ?

    • +1

Would like to know as well if it's worth upgrading from 4 classic to 6 classic

    • Depends if you need them.
Also these are only limited to when connected to a Samsung phone
There is a way to make it work on non Samsung phone by installing modded apk.

    • You still need the hack and it still works.

  • +3

I've got a watch 4 and don't think the 6 offers any actual benefits over it.

  • +3

My frontier was due for a replacement, would struggle to last a day, incredibly slow, and charger would often flash red stopping it from charging.

lasted about 8 years, You did well frontier, you did well.

    • Good for trade in

      • i tried, unfortunately too old to be used for trade-in

    • I got a new ultra, but fwiw i changed out the battery on my Classic Gear S3, and the thing lasts easy 4 days and is, dare i say it, snappy. Actually kept it off the back of the lift of the performance. Good watch.

    • My s3 frontier is still going strong after a good 7ish years (when I say going strong, it needs a charge after 2 days or so). But I'm tempted anytime a deal like this one pops up.

Even had to dig through reddit for a workaround to connect it to my new fold6 lol. Samsung makes it hard to hold onto their older tech that's for sure

  • Battery life concerns on the 6 (and classic) leave a lot to be desired.

Galaxy watch from 2018 still running strong with 3+ days of battery and just waiting for Sammy to do better :(

    • thanks, i was going to buy a watch but will wait it out.

      • Agree… not worth it just another hassle charging every 1.5 days yes some will say mine last 2 but imagine at the end of day 2 6pm its 15pct and you about to go dinner out, get more than usual sms etc etc and by 9pm it will go to dumb mode.

    • My daily wear 2018 Galaxy Watch has finally packed it in a couple of weeks ago :( The fact that battery life has seemingly only gotten worse on new releases is absolutely wild to me

    • You mean BT or LTE version. I'm looking to buy BT and and wondering about battery performance.

      • LTE versions will always have worse battery life, but the BT version still has pretty subpar battery life.

  • EBD- code doesn't stack.

  • +2

Tried code stacking but with no luck for the watch. Then again have the Gear S3 Frontier and it's still going strong even though it's no longer supported with updates.

    • don't think we can trade in frontiers any more :(

  • What's the people's preference between watch 6 44mm and watch 6 classic 47mm?

    • +1

The major difference for me between those models is the bezel that enhances the overall look for the watch(at least for me) and size of the watch. I do not think 47mm classic is on sale which is perfect for me because I have a really tiny wrist lol

    • +1

I have had a 47mm for a week. Managed to get JB to price match at $413. I don't have huge wrists but it looks and wears fine on me. I actually initially considered the 43mm but then read a bunch of comments on Reddit about people that had the 43 and changed for a 47 to get significantly better battery life. Based on that, and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, I went straight for the 47.

  • can we use Boost esim on watch 6?

    • Can the LTE watch be used standalone with an eSIM form likes of boost or amaysim?

      • I was thinking to use the same sim, but looks like it might not be possible :/

I found this guide on how to use a separate eSim for watch though : https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/12a7erm/how_to…

is there any long expiry eSim like $20 per year or so?

          • @FirstWizard: thanks mate, is incoming free ?

            • +1

              @bazingaa: Haven't actually checked. I assume so.

No one knows the phone number of my watch. I mainly use it for message notifications (and the odd outgoing call) when I leave the phone at home (e.g. when I go running).

It can only do VoLTE for voice calls, but so will everything from next Monday.

              • @FirstWizard: thanks mate. I am also exactly looking for the same, keeping the phone at home when I go for a walk

        • +1

Buy a sim from Amaysim and activate eSIM, let the plan run out it will turn into pay as you go.

          • @pgsheng: directly activate on watch or activate on phone and move ? does amaysim support that ?

            • +1

@bazingaa: You use your phone camera to scan the QR code with the Galaxy Wear app, and it gets activated directly on the watch.

              • @FirstWizard: yeah, did the same after enabling QR mode in debug menu, but it is for a separate sim as we can't do number sharing. I have enabled call divert for unreachable and unanswered to the watch number. so I can receive calls from main number. I checked with Amaysim and they said all incoming calls are free.

                I got this sim for $10 with $10 credit : https://www.amaysim.com.au/sim-plans/28-day-sim-plans/as-you…

                • +1

                  @bazingaa: Yeah nah.
Last time I checked, the number sharing feature is only available for postpaid plans from big 3 telcos with an extra $5-$10/mo.

  • All small straps

  • Anybody here already own the watch6?

What's it like with bloatware? does it come with much useless stuff?

I came across this page and considered removing some stuff just to make it do only what i need it to AND to hopefully make it's battery life closer to what's marketed. Anybody here have experience with this?

    • +2

I have one. its great and pretty sturdy. No brainer at this price

      • thankyou for the feedback. Can you comment on the bloatware? is it worth getting rid of stuff on there, or is the bloatware pretty useful (or easy to hide away)

        • +2

          It does come with some.
Bixby, Samsung pay, Samsung Internet browser, and Samsung's versions of messages, calendar, gallery to name a few.

          You can't uninstall them.
You can disable the functionality, e.g. Setting Google messages as sms app, Google Assistant for voice assistant and Google pay for payment etc.
Some apps are pretty useful. E.g. I've not been able to find a browser app from a reputable company. So keep using Samsung browser.

Some are annoying, e.g. you can't remap the Samsung pay shortcut to Google pay. You can map a different shortcut to Google pay, but then there's only a limited number of shortcuts you can achieve with the two physical buttons. So you end up losing one of them.

  • How this watch compare to Fitbit sense ?

    • I've owned a few galaxy watches before, now have a Watch6. I did look at Fitbit before I purchased this one to see if it's any better.

But my main issue was Fitbits lack of support for offline music.
WearOS supports multiple platforms. I've personally used Spotify and YouTube music.

It's great when you want to leave your phone at home when you're going for a run etc. and listen to music.

  • Galaxy Watch6 Classic 43mm BTH Black - $290 OOS, while in my cart, rip

    • Was able to snap it for $155 with trade-in my watch 4 classic. What the deal

  • Cashback tracked as well… sweet

    • +1

From where and how much, if you don't mind?

  • Are these good for tracking sleep?

  • Would you get the Samsung watch or Pixel watch (2) if you had a Pixel phone? Price is basically the same for the Samsung 6 vs pixel 2

    • Same question. But pixel watch 3 is out.

      • +1

Basically the same situation. Both Galaxy Watch 6 and Pixel Watch 2 have been superceded by a newer generation.

        • yeah on the fence on buying either. Currently got Huawei Band 6 still working just the battery not as good as it used to be 2 day rather than 4 day

      • like most phones these days, incremental upgrades. Generally not worth double the price iml

  • Can't add any of the watches to cart now, which I'm assuming means they're out of stock.

    • +1

Yep, just checked and all Watch6 are now out of stock.

      • What do you think the chances of a re-stock before the sale ends are? Pretyy low? Were they just clearing old stock?

        • +1

Considering the sale ends tomorrow at 11am, I doubt it will be restocked.

Might have to wait for the next secret sale (next month).

          • @RichardL: Thanks. I didn't realise the secret sales were a monthly occurrence.

          • @RichardL: I would expect these to be withdrawn from sale soon no?

My vibe was this is sammy clearing out remaining Watch6 retail stock.

  • "Add to cart" tab not working. New window opens "Cart is empty"
Tried browser in private browsing mode, same same.

    • +1

It won't add to cart because it's out of stock.

  • Could JB Hi-Fi possibly match the price?

  • Order ~2pm yesterday, arrived 8am today in Sydney. They sent it via StarTrack (AusPost), so goes back to the post office for pickup if you aren't home.

Very happy with the service and my new watch :)

    Thanks OP
