feel like i've seen this at roughly the 1k per person mark regularly

AYO WTF aldi sell holidays now????

(Can’t wait to see what Bunnings will price beat them with if this is the case)

  • Isn't this the same as $888pp?

  • Er $888 maybe

    • If you drill into each day in the itinerary it gives you example hotels

  • The 11 day one from tripadeal is $999, how is this any different besides costing more

I take that back, this one seems to have a few different travel destinations

  • Some people who been to China said it’s an amazing place, and so many youtubers were actually shocked to find out how advanced China is. But some completely said the opposite, they seemed to be so annoyed by the unusual regulations and systems they had to follow, and it’s not very clean. I’m divided whether to visit China or not. Any experience for input?

    • I think it depends on what interests you as a traveller. Personally I lean toward human achievements and focus less on natural wonders. I visited to tick off the popular tourist sights in Beijing & Xi’an and to experience a metropolis of 20M+ inhabitants. If you're not interested in the Great Wall, Forbidden City and Terracotta Army then it may not be worth the urban adventure. So much to see on the planet, so little time (and money).

      • Thank you for your balanced views. I’ll put China on the list, but maybe not on the top 3.

        • Care to share what's in your top 3?

          • @sumyungguy: Heading to Taiwan next, maybe European cruise (Mediterranean) hopefully, then either Vietnam or Thailand. That’s the dream, but see what happens. Like you said, so much to see, but so little time & money.

            • @pioneerjhem: So much to see in Europe I can't imagine doing it on a med cruise. I helped some friends (seniors) organise a river cruise last year. It's worth considering when you're age suitable as they saw some great sights that only a river cruise can easily access (e.g. Melk Abbey); and they went in late November so plenty of towns had opened their Christmas Markets.

This looks like a good deal (government subsidised?) and an amazing experience - but l did read in many of the reviews there is a commentary about being "sold to" at every stop and basically being herded through the shopping process, and long bus trips.

    I guess thats the tradeoff.

  • This looks similar to AVG Travels for $1,499 per person:
    https://avgtravels.com/au/12-day-incredible-china-with-terra…
    Has anyone done any comparision?

The main one for me is TAD doesnt allow Early-Arrival or Extension.
AVG offers pre- and post-tour which I find more attractive.

  • No deviation from the itinerary? Is this like a North Korea tour?
