No idea why people get sucked into using these products. Just add a cup of metho to your wiper fluid tank and fill the rest with good 'ol water. Done.

    • Metho slowly evaporates and the alcohol slowly breaks down the washer fluid container. Personally just use dishwashing liquid and water. Works fine for me except for bird droppings which will need a high pressure spray to wash off

      • Never found this to be an issue. I rarely use my wiper fluid but when I do it always still has the metho in it as you can smell it and see it evaporating. You must have an issue with the seal in your container. There's also no way it breaks down the container.

As for dishwashing liquid, I wouldn't use anything that lathers. Asking for trouble.

Bar's Bugs is a locally made Australian product and it works really work.

It's cheaper than this deal. $5 from Repco for 600ml (makes up to 16L).

        • wow thats really cheap

        • Use stuff all of it too, or it leaves a residue and foams up. A bottle goes a very long way.

doesn't that dry up the rubber on the wipers?

      • -4

Not that I have noticed. I find I only need to replace my wipers every few years. In fact, now that I think about it, I haven't replaced the wipers on my car since I bought it in 2017. To be fair I don't drive that one much and the other daily car got changed for the first time a year ago, also bought in 2017.

Yeah why not. It only attacks rubber, o rings, silicone, plastic, and painted surfaces. None of which you'll find in your water container, pump, piping, spray nozzle, wipers, surrounding the entire windshield, and all the rest of the car.

No worries. You do you. I've never had a problem and neither have the multitude of people I know who use it.

Spray nozzle lol. Yeah I guess it will clean it out.

Anyway man, if you don't like the idea, don't use it. No need for the thick sarcasm. Cheers

        • Its not sarcasm. It literally attacks all those items. Yes, you have had a problem with it. You just dont have an eye for detail and havent noticed. Anyone that gives a shit for their car wouldnt dream of it.
