  • Hi OP, Is the long-awaited pickup option available?

    • +3

      Morning @bilbies you've got a terrific memory, you must have a fantastic fresh coffee supplier to help keep you focused :)

      I am happy to confirm the long wait will be over some time this year. I'm not exactly sure when as is depends on a number of factors to go live, but we do plan to offer click and collect later this year!

    w00t! This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Ordered!

    Possibly the best coffee LB sells. Here’s the tasting notes lifted from their web site for the benefit of those yet to experience this wonderful bean:

    Score = 85/100
    Aroma = Salted Caramel
    Sweetness = Honey
    Acidity = Milk Chocolate
    Fruit 1 to Chocolate 10 Flavour Scale = 9-10
    Type = Arabica-Mundo Novo
    Grown = 1250m
    Process = Natural - Clean with Medium Body/Mouthfeel
    Brew Method = Espresso or Filter - Omni Roasted
    Beverage Base = Absolutely incredible white, it's the best suited Single Origin for milk based coffee we've ever featured. That said it's still delicious as a black coffee.

    • Woot woot back at you for that wonderfully positive vote of confidence :)

      Thank you so much for another terrific order @Chazzozz and your complimentary thoughts, both truly appreciated!!!

  • Hi OP, I bought the bean last round and unfortunately i have grinded too fine that water couldnt come out. I did tried to put 50% less coffee but still no improvement. Is there any solution to this? Thanks

    • Morning @dtingy appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

      When you get a sec could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation referring to this message?

      We'll explore this further from there :)

      • Thanks will do

        • :)

  • Is any Light Roast option coming soon?

    I noticed a 500g bag costs $4.8 extra for a bag :D Are bags expensive?

    Also, I get typos in your promo emails, I think that's funny when you recall it lol I feel I get two copies of the promos, one here and one on emails :D

    Edit: My order is in

      A light roast will likely make an appearance later this year, but I'm not sure exactly when just yet!

      haha yes I often take trips to Typo Central and think "dam, I should have had that second coffee before I sent the email…"

      Never hurts to check re: 500g bags; to clarify it's $4.8 extra per 1kg of 500g bags AKA $2.40 per 500g bag extra, the is an increase in bag price and an extra label, but the most notable cost factor to us is the extra time it takes, it takes over double the time to pack 2x500g compared to 1x1kg and when there's combo orders of various different types of 500g bags the packing time increases even more comparatively speaking.

      Thank you so much for your order, really does mean a lot :)

        Good to know the break down. I believe good coffee comes at a good price :)

        You won't believe me, I am using Aldi Luxe $22/Kg and another purchase from Amazon, Vittoria Light Roast $25/500g. Both are impressive. I don't know the roast date so not expectations, but these were great for interim use 😂

          Happy to know we're in your good books :)

  • By my count in this will be the 15th bag of magic beans I've bought. The timing of your discounts seems to really fall fortuitously for me! ☕

    • WOOHOO impressive number, thank you so much for your continued orders, they truly means so much to us!!!

      Love hearing about timing lining up nicely :)

  • Out of curiosity, is there a reason why there is no reviews for the beans on the website? Would help new customers commit to buying. Just asking as im on the fence and reviews normally help me decide. Thanks OP.

      Hey @High5 great question!

      It's a simple case of the carousal tech not being implemented yet as we're currently focusing on other tech updates and there's also an added cost to add that feature. However, at the top of our site you'll see a hyperlink to our 950 Trustpilot reviews, so please feel welcome to peruse that and also comments on this terrific forum :)

    Have finally made my first LB order (sorry Airjo).
    The thing I'm most interested in is how this single origin will go - the description hyping up milk based drinks is what got my purchase over the line. I have exclusively bought blends for years now after being less than impressed by SO's but am keen to try again. Cheers OP

    • +1

      I was an avid lover of Airjo, however have made the jump, may buy from Airjo again, but I would definitely put these guys at my top! These do very well as milk based drinks.

      • Airjo only do light roast which are less compatible as milk drinks than medium or dark

      • Morning @Snowy83 thank you so much for the terrific order and uplifting vote of confidence, both truly do mean so much :) :) :)

    • I'm a blend buyer too - but in my experience, this single origin works well and has enough oomph (technical term) and complexity to stand by itself. In many ways, adding a portion of this Brazil São Paulo Single Origin to a blend would help cover up flavour shortfalls courtesy of other less interesting components.

      I think you'll be happy!

      • Never mix a SO with a blend. That would taste disgusting.

        • This? From experience? I have to wonder…

          • @lostincanberra: Yes from experience! More of a mix of having the remains of a blend bag in the hopper then adding SO beans on top. Make for an "interesting" flavour. It is a bit like tipping some Shiraz into a glass of Pinot. Sure they are both red wine, taste fine on their own, but adding them together does not improve the flavours

    • Amazing to hear @Hinee thank you so much for giving us a shot and placing your first terrific order with us, it's truly appreciated and an opportunity I promise we won't take for granted!!!

      Glad you're giving SO's another try, when you think about it a blend is just a combination of different SO's so the quality of both can be on par with one another, if you do notice a quality difference between SO's and blends, it's usually a personal flavour preference if the two are notably different naturally or their roast profiles or for example a blend contains some lower quality components than the SO. We treat our SO's and blends as needing the same level of quality to be offered to our fantastic customers :)

  • Still the cheapest SO delivered in the business. Made another order. Thanks.

    • Outstanding @serpserpserp thank you so much for another fantastic order, your continued support really does mean so much!!!

  • Great beans. Just ordered 2.5kgs

    • Music to my ears, what a fantastic order, thank you so much!!!

  • Hi @LimeBlueCoffee.
    I have been buying the Brazilian coffee of you for while and it’s great. Now I’m trying news flavours and yesterday I went to a coffee shop and I really liked the coffee from there. I was wondering if you have something similar. This are the descriptions:

    FLAVOUR - Toffee, citrus finish when black
    AROMA - Chocolate, Caramel
    BODY - Medium rounded

    Thanks

    • Hey @irving123 music to my ears to know how much you've been enjoying our Brazil Single Origin, thank you so much for your order and most welcomed compliment :)

      We generally don't comment on other companies as we like to sail in our own direction and direct comparisons in this sense aren't always the most helpful for customers e.g. by citrus finish does it mean high acidity or does it actually taste like citrus and what level of citrus, are we talking about grapefruits or mandarins…please don't feel the need to answer the citrus questions, I was just trying to highlight how myself comparing coffees based just on those notes you've sent through could lead to an unhelpful answer. Now to being helpful, could you please answer the following specific to your preferences, not based on a coffee you've had before:

      1) High, medium or low acidity kick?
      2) Black or white?
      3) Espresso or filter?
      4) Fruit, chocolate or somewhere in the middle?

  • these are the best.

    additionally, very dial in friendly and don't need too much adjustment as time goes on.

  • Just ordered some, let's see how it goes.
