$3,590 for a 6.6kw Solar System Longi HIMO6 440W & SMA 5kw 1 Phase Inverter

Here's what you get:

Solar Panel:

Longi Solar 440w Hi-MO 6 LR5-54HTH 440M with a 25-year product warranty

LONGi is the world's largest manufacturer of solar panels and has held this position for four years. In the solar industry, that's a Longi time. While they may not keep the number one spot, they are likely to be among the largest for years to come. Because they're reliable and good value for money, LONGi panels are among those SolarQuotes recommends. I'd be fine with having them installed on my mother's roof. In fact, our blogger, Anthony, did put them on his mum's roof.

Solar Inverter:

SMA, based in Germany, is the big granddaddy of inverter manufacturers. While the company has suffered as a result of cut-throat competition; like its solar inverters the firm continues to hang in there.

To grab this SMA Special offer or get a tailored quote, shoot us an email at [email protected] or reach out to us at 1300 211 230.

  • great deal, where were you 4 months ago!

Thanks for the replay, SMA just dropped their price since Oct. They were 30-50% more expensive 4 months ago..

  • Your installers are third party contractors?

    • +2

Hi Jimmy, thanks for the inquiry. We use our in-house team for installation in NSW.

  • can you do Fronius inverter for the same price ?

    • Thanks for your inquiry. Fronius is about $600 more expensive compared to SMA at the moment. FRONIUS was at the same price as SMA in July and we had a good Fronius deal for Ozb community.

  • any deals on batteries?

    • +1

Thanks for your inquiry. No battery manufacturer dropped their price yet. Hopefully, we can secure some good battery deals in the next few months.

  • Great deal, paid double that March last year for the Himo5's and two Sungrow inverters!

  • Does this include installation?>

    • Yes, the installation work is included.

Hi, is this system any good for a rood that might get partial shading due to neighbouring trees?

    • +1

I have same problem. Loking forward to response.

    • +1

You would need solar with micro inverters. Otherwise if any of cells in a string are shaded, the rest switch off. This is only when the shading is there. So you will benefit on those times where shading isn’t an issue. You need to work out how many unshaded hours you get to see if it’s worth the cost of installing solar.

      • I guess the system can be split into 2 or more strings so that if one string remains in full sun it will still generate power?
My roof of relatively flat. How much extra will it cost for angled mountings to 23 degrees?

      Thanks for your inquiry.

      A few options.

      1. AIKO Solar Panel With Shade Optimisation. The cheapest way to resolve shading issues works for partial shading but is not good for heavy shading issues.

      2. Tigo optimizers which are the 2nd cheapest way to resolve shading issues, work for partial shading but are not good for heavy shading issues.

      3. SolarEdge system is a mid-priced option and good for heavy shading issues.

      4. Enphase system is the most expensive option, and good for heavy shading issues.

      • How much will be this system, 13.3KW?

      • And you do all 4 of the options?

    • Check out the new Aiko Panels.

I just ordered a 13kw system with them as the cheap option, (11k in Tas from local installer) it's probably half marketing fluff but they seem pretty good bang for buck.

2 month wait on install for me however.

  • do you do blackout protection and how much for this facility?

    • +1

Hi May, you will need a battery for blackout protection. The solar system doesn't do blackout protection.

  • Can you add 8kWh Sigenergy Battery to 6.6kW Solar System?

  • Have you any experience in removing built in solar panels?

    • Removing old system: $20/Panel

    • Thanks for your inquiry. Can you please send us an email to [email protected] with a photo of 'built in solar panels'. thank you.

  • Does ACT count as NSW?

    • Hi djackal, thanks for your inquiry. We are not able to do ACT for the price of this deal.

  • How many weeks from order to installation?

    • +1

Hi Lewis, thanks for your inquiry. Our current lead time is about 4 weeks.

    Hi,

I already have an existing 13.2kw system (with 10kw inverter) but I believe there is enough roof space for more panels

Could you add this 6.6kw deal to my existing setup? Thanks

  • The price is aftee government rebate?

    • Hi Yjun, the government rebate is included in the package price.

  • How much for a single phase 13kw system?

    • Thanks for your inquiry. For a single-phase 13kw system needs 2 units of SMA 5kw single-phase inverters and this will be a total cost of $6,390.

  • does this include a smart meter and if not, how much extra will that cost?

An additional charges if the tiles are concrete?

  • Rookie questions:

    A. What does the investor do?

    B. Is this your usual price or is there limited a deal in here?

    C. The saving is obviously during the day right? So you still need to pay for using electricity in the evening which is going to be bulk of usage. So how much do you really save going to solar. This is perhaps question for ozbargain's who have solar.

  • Any ozbargainers care to share their thoughts on previous purchases of panels from this company?

  • If I went ahead with the deal of the 13.3kW Solar System Longi HIMO6 440W & SMA 10kW 3-Phase Inverter, is it easy to add battery in the future when that goes on sale?

    • Yes. Most of battery systems include a battery inverter and can work with any existing solar system.

  • Interested in the 13.3kw system. Have sent email.

  • I already have a 6.6kw system. Still have some space on the roof and 3 phase. Could you fit another system next to the existing rather than remove the old one?

    • +1

Hi Chur, thanks for your inquiry. Yes you can add more panels with a new inverter. To use the same monitoring app, i will recomend use the same brand of solar inverter. Please feel free to email us to request a quote. Thank you.

  • Hi Green IOT, any other cheaper options for inverters? Eg Sungrow? It's also for a townhouse so may not fit a 6.6kw system. Might email your sales team.
