GME XRS-330COBG UHF Radio Outback Pack with GPS $449 + $12 Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Repco

40

Seems like a really great price for the 330c outback pack.
The ending product number seems to be Repco exclusive but apart from that seems the same as the standard xrs-330cob. Comes with the magnetic hand piece mount.

Why would you pick that over the Uniden comms pack: https://www.repco.com.au/in-car-technology/uhf-cb-radio/in-v…

    • For me. The GME is a hide away unit that is from from the handset.

          • @GoldenDragon888: Really - In stock at every Repco that comes up for Sydney?

Just trying to figure out which one to buy and why chose one over the other

@the-fuzz: Haven't looked at either product's specs but, in general, GME > Uniden quality wise. The gap has closed though and Uniden should do the job just fine. Both now have 5yr warranty. GME is Au made, great reliability and support.

Compare the capabilities and specs of both, including the aerials. If they're about the same I'd buy the GME but I also wouldn't hesitate to buy the Uniden at under $400.

This GME is made in Australia

XRS-330COB vs XRS-330COBG - The main difference would be the built-in GPS on the 'G' model.

The standard XRS-330COB can also get GPS data; you just have to pair with a smart device (Source: GMEaus Youtube Comment)

What’s the benefit of GPS in the radio?

    • You can tell others where you are. Might be able to output for datalogging as well. It's a bluetooth enabled headset with an app available.
