On the website the deal is "FREE Heineken silver when you spend $25 or more"

However when I placed an order just now I added a case of beer and added 36 Heineken Silvers for free.

Steps worked for me:
1. Add more than $25 worth of beer
2. Go to the cart, there should be a message to add 1 Heineken silver for free
3. Edit Quantity
4. Check the total price, should be unchanged.

  • Awesome, thanks OP. Picked up my order, the guy working there said it was an error, and that another customer had just been to collect his 36 (I didn't get greedy and went for 24). Legend for letting us have it. Coupled with the $20 cashback, ended up costing me about $8 for 30 bottles of shite beer and a can of decent beer.

    1st store rejected and refused to sell

    I went to another store, the store worker knew of the website glitch and said he would have done the same if he wasn't working. Legend.

    Arrived at the store only to find the attendant packed 1 free bottle. Asked to cancel and she didn’t know how.

      I think you should call customer service to get it cancelled as it's an online order.

    Absolute legend at the local, picked up no issues and cracked one open on the couch to celebrate.

  • Got ready to pick up notification, went in and would only give one bottle. Said they couldn't honor the 36 bottles, would rather have them cancel order than drive over to pick up one bottle tbh.

    Woman said there was a hack on the system and won't fulfil the order so cancelled the whole.
    Citing she got 3 of these orders and would get fired for supplying 108 free bottles 😪

    I asked her about when will the refund happen and she doesn't have a proper answer.. 😡

        no need to act all indignant. You knew it was a glitch when you ordered it, that's why you raced to the shop. They probably let BWS HQ sort out the admin.

          even if this was a glitch does it mean basic servicing is out the door. their cancellation clause did not happen for an asap order. an automated email should at least be pushed out upon cancelling

            @capslock janitor: You are spot on about the last point, for some reason the individual stores often struggle to understand how to refund online orders, and say it is something you have to take up with 'BWS Online' as though it is a completely foreign entity. Although in my experience it's been pretty straightforward to call the online number and get the refund sorted, it's still annoying they can't sort it out amongst themselves.

      Because BWS became aware of the glitch and took down the Heineken Silver listing so it can no longer be added.

    My BWS just called me and said it is a technical glitch and they can only supply 1 for free.
    I asked them to cancel the whole order.

    Tried to pickup this morning and they wouldn't honour it. Annoyingly they made me drive in to find that out and now I'm on hold trying to cancel it because their crappy online system won't let me. Will be avoiding bws in future.

    More frustrated with getting "your order is ready" text. They were apologetic etc but I knew the risk of not getting it and wasn't going to argue over it. Glad some did.

    Just got an SMS about the technical error and cancellation, with a full refund being processed. (I picked my order up with no issues last night xD). Let's see if they shoot themselves in both feet by refunding the orders already picked up

    i also received the text about the refund - i'm guessing they just mass sent it out, i would be very surprised if i both got the free heinekens and then got refunded for the additional drinks i bought

    I just got a text message from BWS saying they apologise for the technical error on their website and my order will be refunded.

    I've already picked it up though!

    I'm not expecting a refund, but this is crazy. Someone might be looking for a new job after this.

    I picked up my order last night & received an text saying my refund has been processed & I should get it in 2-4 business days.
    I also purchased via cashback 3.5% plus used the xxxx ultra promo someone posted for up to $20 cashback……. This deal just keeps on giving 🤣

      because I'm dumb I went to the store that I received the cancellation notice from. so I went to the other store .

      at the 2nd store initially the guy had just started his shift so he saw my order with 2 x 6 packs and went to hand just that over, I said "there's meant to be 36 Heineken" so he looked at the order again and went "oh yeah, here's a second box of 18 Heinekens…..the person who did you order has just ducked out for a minute, so I'm not sure whats happening" , so I went to the supermarket next door, grabbed a few things and went back to BWS. My order was all there 36 Heineken silvers + 2 x 6 packs of other beer.

      I suspect they may have sent it to most people. Hoping that the stores cancel the orders before we pick them up.

    I picked up my order last night, I had just 16 free bottles on it. haven't received any further notifications - BWS probably send texts only to those who went for max free bottle amount lol

    when I was picking up, the person said ahhh you are that person who ordered 16 individual Heineken bottles! next time please just order 6-packs

    I acted very casual as if I didn't know 6-packs existed

    5:30pm 14/10, just picked my calton carton + the 36 free, no question was asked (>_<), in fact, they texted me again this morning to remind me to come pick up lol. this was a fun shopping experience
