Anybody Know How to Get a Loan Statement from Solar Vic?

Hi all, going through a refinance at the moment and broker is asking for a statement on the $1400 Vic Govt loan to show both my regular payments and remaining balance.

However, I cannot figure out how to obtain this.

I contacted Solar Vic and got this response:

We are not able to provide statements of payments because we are not a registered finance provider and therefore do not have the capability and authority to provide this statement.

Has anybody been able to get some sort of statement somehow?

Update for anyone else in the same situation: I ended up getting a basic summary in an email body stating the amount left and monthly due date.

  • i also got a solar vic loan - i don't recall even setting up payments and have no idea how to check anything regarding this loan i took out with them either…

    • I note the payments are to the SRO according to my banking app

When you log in it shows you the information you're after although it does have a disclaimer
'Records' are not a substitute for the authority or official information document issued by the relevant government agency.

Hopefully a screenshot is enough for the broker otherwise will probably need to request it from sv.

    • I tried them first - they said they just manage the app. So I went to Solar Vic and got the response in my OP.

I just checked mine and he loan contract is with:

        DEECA: Solar Victoria
PO Box 104, Morwell VIC 3840
        Att: Chief Executive Officer
        Email: [email protected]

I'd press them again for a statement

        • Thanks, will email them

        • That email address bounced :'(
          Sure it's right?

          • @FezMonkey: That's what it had on the contract docs - I've never needed to email them

  • Good luck.

I finally paid off the loan on my solar panels last month and nothing was deducted from my accounts this month, yet I've received literally no correspondence whatsoever to confirm that the loan has been discharged.

Technically, by my calculations, I still owe 8c which I presume they waive, but who knows?

I couldn't believe the government wasn't able to create a job for their mates to do this. A very good paying one. Or maybe that old mate is just hiding because they took that money and haven't delivered anything for years.
