    Yep, condition of the s9 ultra isnt as shmick as day one, would cost 299 for a replacement which would likely be a refurb unit in worse condition than mine. Better off to future proof with s10 ultra and have samsung cover renewed as mine runs out in a month. I will also get the keyboard and ill transfer the sandisk 1.5tb microsd over

    Thank you so much for sharing this deal. My old 12”iPad Pro has so much light bleed in screen and the battery doesn’t last long even though Apple insists it’s excellent battery health. And it’s stuck on iOS 16. And it’s bloody heavy. Samsung giving me $540 trade whereas Apple don’t want it. So with all the discounts you mentioned plus trade I paid only $436. I’m ecstatic. Just have to relearn Android after a looonnnggg time away from it. 🙏😊

    My Tab s4 128 is not a trade option but I do have a ipad 5th gen with smashed screen, the default acceptable condition says no cracks.
    I'm wondering if I submit the ipad will I be charged the admin or late fee as well as losing the $35 ipad trade value? Would I be better off with a fictitious galaxy watch and copping the $60 admin fee?

      It appears the max admin fee is $60, so might be $30 only for a $10 samsung galaxy watch or something.

      Better off choosing something cheap and not returning it.

    Thanks OP, bought the 512 GB version for $1,129.55 - will have to cop the fee for not returning a "galaxy watch" I had for trade in.

    I'll offset that by claiming TRS when I leave the country. final price around $1,080 after TRS and Trade-in admin fee.

          100% sure, have done it a few times.
          It is not reasonable to charge you like $700 if you don’t send out a $5 item (which they will charge you $30 for admin fee). They actually make more money if you don’t send the device (valued less than $10).

          Full instant discount refers to the trade in value not the bonus.

              @Modesty: It won't be shown as a discount but if you calculate the price you will notice it has automatically deducted 5% from the final price.

    I just wanted to give everyone some tips on how to secure a potentially better deal than what being offered.

    1. I called the Samsung sales number and they emailed 2 codes one of them is the TAB AI code and another extra $200 trade in bonus code.

    You might be tempted to purchase it via their online store and send in your device for trading but I haven’t heard much good reviews with the online process.

    I went in store and was advised that they could just assess the device straight away and give you the credit. The trade in value won’t change. This is important to me as I’ve heard that if you do it via online - send it via post - you might get a different trade value etc and people have experience a lot of issues via this method.

    It is important to note that whilst the physical store cannot let you redeem the additional 5% discount you get via the Samsung Shop app. The trade in value they provided to me via in store is slightly higher than the trade in value provided to me on the Samsung website.

    You can use 2 of the voucher they have provided to you in store as well. I paid roughly only $20 extra - but I was happy to do this as the trade in assessment is conducted right away and the value the provided to me can’t change.

        Varies for everyone. It was better deal for me. Because their online trade in service seemed very hit and miss if you google it. Ie. People were told they sent in a different device…scratched body etc though it wasn’t before.

        Going in store resolved all the hassle for me as I can get a trade in value with confidence. I also didn’t pay a security payment too for the trade in.

        My total price for the S8U came down to $1089.

    To hopefully save someone else the time:
    - S10 Ultra on EPP is ~$1175 with codes applied (I believe can't apply 5% via app) - but get the book cover case.
    - S10 Ultra with normal account is ~$1300 (5% app discount not included) - but get the keyboard cover

    Worth it for me to pay $120 more and get the keyboard cover (RRP $350)

      Yes, I also have access to EDU but decided to go with the normal store this time, especially normal store has cashback + membership rewards points. I have a platinum account so I got 5% back.

        Agree normal store is better. My only issue is that this time you can only get the slim book cover keyboard which allows only ONE viewing position. Doesn't work for me.

        So I had to go with EDU which comes with just book cover and I needed to pay extra for the non slim version of the keyboard. Still good bargain but works out to be about $1.15k for a normal cover + keyboard cover.

              @mauricem: If you are using Samsung phone there is an app called Island something that allows you to create a work profile that is separated from rest of the phone.

              You can then install Samsung Shop on the Island and use a second login.

    In regard to the Tradin-in. I saw few people suggested choose value $1. But not everyone have $1 trade in device. Do you need to use that device to generate the ID or just choose it to have trade in discount???

      You will need to trade in any devices you have. Recommend using the cheapest device to maximize the trade-in bonus. For example, the Samsung A14 5G 128GB has a trade-in value of only $15, but the bonus is $400, significantly higher than its resale value.

      I called Samsung and mine was supposedly picked up by Startrack but status is still "Awaiting dispatch".
      The order used to say "Ships from 29 Oct", but now "Get it by 31 Oct 2024".
