We bought this model almost two years ago. It’s been great, no issues at all. And compared with my old dads cheapie air fryer, this is a heap quieter in button presses and fan noise, user interface is better (less button pressing needed) and basket is better.
A good size for three people.
I notice it’s now $149 for prime members, a bargain I think. (We bought on sale for $199 way back)

  • I got one of these from the op shop last week for $30 brand new :D

Not a fan of the touch screen, just give me the dial, but $30 is $30.

    • where from?

      • Mission city charity store, like salvos and vinnies. Someone donated it - new. For some reason.

I have one of these and it is great. 6.2L is a good size for an air fryer and we use ours for many things apart from the usual cook-chips-and-reheat-pizza. My son does an amazing pork belly in ours, the crackling is superb. I bought this model because my son's friend had one and he was saying how good it was.

Pork belly is so easy in this.

    • Another good feature of this air fryer is that you can open the drawer to check on the cooking progress and when you close the drawer it will automatically continue cooking. Not all air fryers do this. Some cut off and you have to press start again. Not a biggie but I am lazy.

  • The in-laws have one of these and I dislike the touch screen and they are too quiet that it's hard to actually know if it's on or not.

Bought for $179 a couple months ago, $149 is a great deal.

The new model is $229 if you want the extra features

There’s also a wifi model. I like gadgets but I have no need for that at all.

    • What's the new features with the new model?

      • A glass window on the drawer.

I think the model here is close to end of life (just a guess). For anyone with access to TGGC, you may want to consider this against the new Philips model with front glass panel which is currently $179.

I've put the main website listing below for reference.

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/philips-2000-series-62-litre-…

For those without access to TGGC, its currently $187 at Bing Lee

    • Have TGGC access and now tossing between this model and the one above - any OzBs who have happened to have experiences with both?

I do like the idea of a glass panel!
