~37c per tab, for the top of the range product from Finish. Never tried Aldi ones or powders, so can't compare myself. And I like lemon, so..
Already got 2x90 stash from last Catch deal for a slightly lower product that will work fine for me, but I would have preferred to pay 5c more per tab for this.

  • Aldi tablets just a nudge ahead according to choice in 2023

Those Aldi tablets were fantastic. Unfortunately they don't make them any more. There is only "ALL IN ONE" tablets which I've tried and they are shit. So much worse than the old Platinum tablets. Bought once, never again. https://www.aldi.com.au/groceries/laundry-household/househol… - Don't get these - they're shit.

They now have new gel capsules called platinum I think. Much more expensive than old platinum tablets, but still far cheaper than these Finish ones. From memory the Aldi gel capsules are 26c each. They work very well, don't have any problems with the performance. I wonder if these are just Finish rebranded?

      • You’re correct - 26c each. $11.99 for 46.

Agree with your review of those aldi tablets. They are so bad! 10% chance of dissolving correctly.

        • +1

Agreed, they are shocking! No wonder now when I go to Aldi there is a huge pile of these and the gel ones are often sold out. No one wants these new "All In One" shit ones.

My bad, I wasn't aware of the change. Thanks for the update!
I checked under the sink and I have a stockpile of the 18in1 platinum tablets so that's why I'm still getting a good result

        • Yep I really wish they'd bring those ones back. They cleaned really well and were so cheap!

      • Never had any issues with those myself.

      • We've switched to these since Aldi discontinued their 18-in-1 version, so far so good.

Keen to give the Aldi gel capsules a go!

      • Can you please elaborate why ALDI All In One isn't worth it? Your dishes come out uncleaned, needing a rewash?

        • +1

Yeah, same level of soiling as before, same dishwasher, and suddenly things not cleaning properly and 1/4 of the items needing to go back through. Glasses looked smeary when before they were crystal clear.

They are that bad from my experience anyway.

  • 36.7c each

Or $3.50 for 1kg of powder that does the same thing, without the marketing gimmicks.

Finish Ultimate Plus Gold XP Ultra Turbo 3000. Their names and fancy packaging are like a parody.

    • +2

      Which powder do you recommend?

      • +8

Coles and Woolies home brands work well. Finish powder is also good but expensive compared to the home brands, but still heaps cheaper than tablets. Aldi powder used to be good too, but now sucks and leaves white powder on glass.

If you want to know why tablets suck, our dishwasher lord and saviour technologyconnections has a video on it (3 actually) - https://youtu.be/jHP942Livy0

        • +1

ive started using the bunnings powder to see how it goes. i find it works just as good but you cant use as much or it leaves layer. so i use half as much as the woolies shine and it does the job.

        • The YT point about adding extra powder directly into the machine for the prewash has made a huge difference to the outcome of my washes.

@TEER3X I used to buy https://www.coles.com.au/product/coles-ultra-dishwasher-conc… but it's been unavailable for months now, was made in Australia as well as being a great produce

Woolies have this https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/720962 but made in China but still ggood

So now I get https://www.bunnings.com.au/exonic-1kg-dish-washing-powder_p… but it's not as good as the Coles or Woolies one :(

    • +3

@cnut Exactly, 1kg lasts about 50 washes, so about 7-8cents per wash, plus rinse aid, if you need it, I generally don't use it

Not sure why anyone uses Tablets to be honest

    • +2

totally second this….. WTF is ultimate PLUS???

  • Using 15% off and targeted PRIME10X1 got huge discounts

  • +1

I'm only getting $23.89 even with the 15% off and S&S

    • I think it only works for 1 bag?

  • I only ever use the Aldi logix tablets , 45 in a pack I think it's about $6 or $7 . So about 14c a wash…give my plates a quick rinse before put them in and never have a problem in a quick 30min wash in 60c hot water. Cannot understand why some of these Finish packs are $45 or whatever. Madness!

    • +1

Aldi no longer sell these 😡. They have some basic poor quality ones or new gel pack capsules - 46 for $11.99.

    • Those aldi ones used to be fantastic. Now just this new "All In One" version which I found absolute shite.

  • Really? I got mineauhe 2 months ago? Gone now. Ahhh fk

    90 pack also available.
    .37c per tab (S&S)

  • Ultimate Plus Or Ultimate Pro? Way too many to choose from

  • All these tablet names can (profanity) right off. I just want a tablet that tastes like real milk.
