Was looking for a new micro SD card for the Ally X for an extra storage boost and saw the 1.5TB micro SD cards discounted.
Not as low as the previous deal at an ATL of $138.07 but still a great price if you are looking to nab one now.

Anyone else remember when 128MB of storage cost more?

    • I was doing a clear out of old cards yesterday and found an old Sony 128MB one I had… those were the days. :D

      • First USB I got was this and boy $125 for 128mb less than a $/mb was a bargain..came with a lanyard and 3 interchangeable lids..in case you were a baller that could afford more than one 😂

      • My first MS was a dual 128MB one with the little slide switch select between chips. Top of the range for the Sony DSC P9 happy snapper. Indeed they were the days.

My god you can still buy it

      • My sweet summer child.

I think I've still got an 8MB one somewhere

i remember my first usb stick of 16GB feeling like a king already

      • i thought i'd never need more. that was like 4 DVDROMS worth of data!

        • yep where all my friends are carrying 2GB 4GB drives!

          • @CyberMurning: I still have mine somewhere. I can remember starting off with 64 and 128mb ones too. But i bought a 4gb when they were new for like $100+ and remember storing tons of mp3s even back then on it hahahahaha

      I remember thinking
Why would anyone want more than 1.44MB of data?

      • What about the 360k, then 800kb and 1.2MB before the 1.44MB?

      • A few years ago a work colleague brought in an old digital camera of his that used 3.5” floppy disk for storage. I had no idea they were even a thing.

Wow, I had nearly 7k of them back in the day between 1989 to 1994 until i sold off the majority of my A500 and A1200 stuff. All organised and filling up nearly two rooms stacked from floor to ceiling in the disk storage boxes that used to store between 80 to 100 of them inside every box. This was a huge library of Amiga games and other applications all catalogued by me. Alot of people here in Sydney would've gotten there games from me at one point or another. I had also gotten a 386 sx16 around 1991 or so. Good times indeed…

  • Paid $250 for a 1gb Sandisk SD (those blue ones) almost 20 years ago from eBay. Got many years of good use out of it on my pda.

Now these little microsds literally eat those SDs for dinner

  • Anyone using them with Samsung tabs or phones? They advertise 1 TB max support?

    • +1

i will be very surprised if they cant read 2TB but i have never try…

    • +1

Most things advertise supporting the highest capacity on the market when they are released, but anything that supports SDXC should in principle support any SDXC up to 2TB.

The next version is SDUC which will be for cards over 2TB and SDXC devices won't support those

  • Are these good enough for drones and GoPros?

    • +2

its only V10 so I wouldnt be using it for much video footage to be honest, you want V30 minimum especially with 4k, v60 or better is preferrable

  • Does anybody know if the OG Switch supports this?

  • Write speed is around 25 MB/s, so hopefully you don't mind waiting around if you plan on transferring large files.

  • Dam, missed out. Wanted to get 2 for my og switch and s8 ultra
