For those who don't know, this stuff is like professional repair gum. Mix the pastes, and you'll have a couple of minutes to fill any cracks in things like toilets pans, sinks, water pipes etc, before it cures into a hard bond. Fully cures in few hours, is usually drillable in 1 to 2 hours.

Can you use this to repair the sidewalls of low profile tyres?

    Level 1 - Asking for a friend ✅

no unless you want to die

This stuff is amazingly good. Repaired a hole in the main (outer) tub of my washing machine.

  • +2

Does it have an expiry date? This price is good so not sure whether to stock up

  • how does it compare to:
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-50g-knead-it-multi-purpo…

    What colour does it dry?

    • +1

It dries a dark grey. This is the kind of thing you use when you never ever want it to come apart again. JB weld wont mould as well as that stuff, it won't sit in place horizontally or anything until it has had some time setting too, so the putty works for situations where you can't put the repair job on a horizontal surface for a few hours.

    • +2

There's a Project Farm video for that, naturally https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3r0UZ7txzs

      • Selleys knead it isn't in that video, nor JB weld 2 part epoxy.

Considering the difference between the brands for the putty products, you can't really glean anything from that.

    • +1

Dries dark grey with a bit of a shine to it. Think of it as metal araldite. It's great stuff.

PS: second photo on OP listing shows the colour of it when mixed, it dries pretty much the same colour

    • +1

Different uses to knead it. Knead it is like putty where jb weld is a 2 part epoxy that has a toothpaste like consistency (a little more viscous) before it starts to go off.

Dries gray. Second photo on the product page shows how it looks after both parts are mixed

  • Thanks, needed this for my metal bed frame.

  • +1

Great find OP. Never used the epoxy, but the putty works wonders.
I'm going to use these to repair a leak in my steel tractor fuel tank, that would otherwise require me to pull the engine out.

  • Is this conductive? The demister button on my rear window has detached on my car, having troubles finding something that can actually keep it attached. Have tried cold solder and one of the repair kits. Neither held on for more than a day.

    • Rough up both surfaces and epoxy it, doubtful it will come apart

      • Pretty sure epoxy isn't conductive so wouldn't be too helpful in attaching to the rear demister. Thanks anyways.

        • Why does it need to be conductive? The button itself fell off? I thought you were talking about just the button cover.

If its the actual electrical switch then proper soldering is the only solution. What do you mean by cold solder?

Your best bet is to visit a wrecker and find the whole assembly and just replace it imo

          • @Boioioioi: The button refers to the metal part that attaches to the demister lines on the window. It is what the wire attaches to. Not the switch to turn it on.

            • @d1s34s3d: Ahaaaa understood. Yeah I'd solder on a wire or something personally

    • epoxy in general is not conductive. but you can combine it with silver/gold/etc epoxy and it may work.

  • this stuff is great

  • +2

Yes, this stuff is amazing. When used on two metal pieces, they stick together like they were bonded/welded. FYI, you can get almost the same thing on AliExpress or Temu for about $2.50 / 50ml. It's called Magic Metal Repair Glue. Probably not the same strength/quality, but I couldn'te tell. When mixed, they look gray like the JB Weld. Listing: https://www.temu.com/au/-metal------non----for-iron--and--g-…

    • Thanks. I'll give this a try!

    • 100ml is only $3.27, tbh it is probably the same thing

      • just had a look on ali xpres, you can 2x 200g for $1.5 + tax and shipping so maybe $3-$5

  • Missed it :/

    • +1

I was going to say have a try with the unbranded stuff the other person commented but then I just saw your comment

Good for gluing dollar coins to the street,
    if you want a laugh.

  • Bought one, thanks :D
