This might help… 1440p Ultra
Looks like 7800xt for me basically the same as 4070 super
Like celeryjuice said below…
There is some reason for either. And as they suggested the 7900gre may be an even better option.
@nitens: I had bought my 7900GRE for ~850 delivered.
Runs Space Marine 2 @1440p Ultra no worries 😎

Mmm an XFX 7900GRE white edition, for the white build swag
@Pusheencat: Oh and it comes with a free copy of space marine 2 ;)
This if you care about ray tracing, DLSS and other Nvidia AI goodies, 7800XT if you prefer to have more memory headroom for future titles. Raster performance is nearly equal between the two, but AMD's frame gen tech isn't as advanced as Nvidia's offerings which can matter depending on your chosen resolution. I would recommend the 7900GRE at a slightly cheaper price compared to this deal if you want to go on the AMD boat.
Or choose AMD if you like Linux or want to use it with your GPU.
Is it me or the 7900GRE is kinda hard to find
Same. So I grabbed a 7900 XT and undervolted it a while ago.
AFMF2 works in opengl, vulkan, dx11 & dx12 titles. Personally I don't notice a difference in picture quality if it's on or off @ 1440p.
If you don’t plan on reselling it then buy the AMD card else go with nvidia.
need some 4070ti super deals.
Better to buy the 7900 GRE if you don't rely on DLSS much.
lol Centrecom are actually selling refurbished PNY 3080 for $979. What the??? Are people actually buying? https://www.centrecom.com.au/refurbished-pny-geforce-rtx-308…
how's that relevant to this post?
it is not. hope it is ok. have a good day cheers.
I wonder if they would allow me to trade in my one for this 4070 super.
The Inno3d version is the same price at the moment..

Did anyone manage to buy anything at the 15% off Sale in Centrecom Richmond.. two weeks ago?
My Inno3d RTX 4080 Super set me back around $1260-1270.. if I remember.. I dont remember any thing on Ozbargain about it..
Damn I was not even aware of that sale
I took the only one
Meh price.
It's a really frustrating time to be buying parts with CPU's and GPU's transitioning to a new generation.
I'm worried nvidia might lock the new version of dlss and frame gen to 5000 series cards only. Don't feel like buying now. I'll keep using my 3060 ti until the 5000 series releases.
Until AMD say they won't lock their new version and they'll be pressured to unlock it again. (Yes I'm being optimistic)
I don't think they can as fsr4 is meant to utilize the a.i cores this time I read.
I think there will be an exclusive feature in the DLSS 4 suite, but I think if frame gen gets latency improvements or jumps to generating 2 extra frames, there's a very good chance that will be passed onto the 40 series.
The real boon seems set to be getting 45-50% more performance at around the same price points as the refresh.
There'll also be plenty of competition in the mid-range and low-end.
But you're right to hold onto the 3060 Ti and play the waiting game, it's a great card. 40 series prices really need to start dropping.
You could always look into lossless frame gen apps like this https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/
Check out some videos on it, it's kinda crazy how much it can increase your FPS.
@imtheonewhoknocks: I'm fully aware of it, and how bad the input lag gets.
It's a solution for when latency is a non-issue, but like any of this tech requires at least 50-60 base FPS so it doesn't feel completely awful.
Fact of the matter is most of the solutions offered are already available for free, or otherwise will be over the next 12 months.
Anytime is "a few months later and there will be better products".
Just a warning about Galax support, I had issues with my GPU and could not contact Galax support for nearly two years. They do not have a phone number and ignored all of my attempts to contact them via email, web forms, and social media. This went on until my warranty lapsed. I still have never gotten a response from them.
You could contact the reseller under ACL
Why didn't you contact the retailer instead? They're obliged to follow ACL.
4070 super has been this kind of price for a while https://www.pgrid.com.au/gpus/geforce-rtx-4070-super
super useful site thanks so much for the link!
This or 7800 xt ?
