      • Non-music as well. Would be good otherwise. 46mm probably too big for my wrist and not a fan of the white

        • Ah damn. So that one can't play music??

          • @Circly: I think it can control music from your phone but you can't store music and play it without your phone

            • @vee_el: Ah yeah so same as my 630 then.

  • I'm looking for a new watch for my mum, she has a fitbit charge 3 or 4 at the moment. Any recommendations? she mainly just wants sleep tracking (doesn't want to pay for fitbit sub), heart rate and steps. I've researched a few in the 200-400 range (Garmin, Withings), but just not sure on the accuracy. She has an iphone, but the battery life of apple watches is not appealing.

    • +1

Garmin will definitely do the job.

If you want a budget one, look into Xiaomi Mi Band. I think they're up to 9 now? I'm not sure about the accuracy, but I had the 3 and it worked okay. I bluetooth to my phone to only vibrate when I receive calls and it would last a whole month before I needed to charge it.

I upgraded to a Coros Pace because I started running and the Mi Band definitely doesn't track steps as accurate as sports watch.

      • Thanks, the Xiaomi could be a go!

    • +1

Garmin seems overkill for her use case

    • +1

garmin is definitely an overkill and the sleep tracking for garmin is terrible(can't track nap). i will recommend xiaomi.

  • My 255 is still going strong and does everthing I need. Battery not as good thesedays but still goes days between charges with GPS activities and HR broadcast on. 265 doesn't seems much of a upgrade in terms of features.

  • Pulled the trigger, fingers crossed nothing else comes up and I have buyers remorse lol

I was looking at the 165 deal but was really after the music option so that it could really function as a solo run item without the need for a phone.

  • Great price if you like the white one
