This is a pretty nice tool roll. I think "Legacy" means the color, the material is synthetic. Speced at 26 x 13 inches, I just measured one of mine at about 610 x 350 mm. Made somewhere in Asia IIRC.

These are not as sturdy as the Knipex rolls but bigger and still good quality. Some of the reviews comment that the pockets are designed wrong, because if you put small items in the small pockets they are on the "outside" of the roll and could fall out. I could see that if you didn't do it up tight.

They hold quite a lot, I have one that took two full sets of long handled SAE and metric combination spanners and a handful of ratchet spanners. And another for pliers and cutters.

  It says legacy for the other colours, and a bit further down the page there’s a link to “View newer version” so legacy might refer to being the older version, or maybe just the item name?

    Hm, … I don't think so. I've never used a knife roll but I imagine you'd want something that held the handles more securely and/or had something to hold the blades apart? And also closed completely.

  The issue I found with these is the plastic buckles. While they may be convenient for quick opening and closing, they need to be handled with care. If you 'accidentally' drop the tool roll unluckily with a heavy load of spanners or other tools inside, the buckles can easily break.
