  • This has 256mb RAM vs. 128mb for XD4S. Is it right to conclude that this is better?

Can anyone please confirm if this can be used with a ASUS RT-AX55 (as the main router) to create a mesh network?

    • Yes.
      RT-AX55

Is this better than eero 6+?

thanks OP, needed a couple of satellite speakers for my home theatre

    • What? I don't think these come with built-in speakers like Google Mesh.

  • Just note that in https mode, the UI s pretty sluggish

  • These didn't make the list of a recent mesh roundup review… Are these units still viable for 2024?

i feel like everything on that list is far more expensive compared to this.

      • Agreed.

We're about to move to a 5 bed, 3 living room house (single storey) and looking for my first Mesh to cover the larger space. I do have an Asus AX3000 TUF that would work with these. But is adding these units going to cut the mustard when you put it in perspective of paying $80-$100 per month on NBN.

The alternative I'm considering is keeping the AX3000 for router/firewall, and using TP-Link mesh units for wifi.

These are sensational little units. I installed them in an office, and they have great coverage, even 35m away down the end of the building in the lunch room. These support all internet for an office with up to 12 staff working.

    • 12 staff = 12 devices? much less than iot devices in my home ;)

  • Hi all. Can someone tell me how this compares to the Mercusys Halo H70X(3-pack) which is also on Prime discount. Which is the better option if only 2 access points are needed. Thanks.
