you can get veruy similar (probably even identical) compressors at everyday prices of $150.00 from Bunnings and masters and most likely all other hardware stores. then $50 for the air tool kit no problems. so its not a great price at all.

which basically means the odd pumping up a flat tyre or the kids footy. does not mean air tools or spray guns. i had one of these supercrap auto's compressors and the design of the valves in the heads are shocking.

    Price: $199.00 Save: $213.99

total "value" over $400? in what universe?

Like anything you get what you pay for.

and unfortunately with these you pay about 5 times more for the supercheap advertising than the actual product.

if your going to buy a compressor to actually do any work with do yourself a favour and buy a real one :)

I bought the high flow 2.5HP couple months back from SCA. Some people that had never bought one all poo-pooed the thought of getting one. However, I must say it's cracked every bolt on the car that I have put it to task on and given the price I would buy it again. If I get a few years out of it then that's fine by me, hopefully I will be more settled in a bigger place and will buy and bigger and more powerful unit.

  • I think this compressor is okay for the home mechanic that seldomly uses air tools.. Air wrenches probably work fine.. Paint gun, from what I've read only gravity feed ones will work okay but you may be pausing regularly to wait for air to build up again. Always best to get a big as you can afford belt driven one, but I hardly use air tools so thinking about getting that one just for super tight bolts that refuse to budge with my hand tools from time to time.

  • Yeah my mates got this one and it works great for rattle guns no problems. Can't say we have tried painting with it but all the other air tools seem to work fine. It does come on again a fair bit, but it's never been an issue. I could see how it might be if you were respraying an entire car though.
