I was told that CX810 has a higher resolution, but in lower light environments or even in complete darkness, CX410 can perform better. Likewise,CX410 is better than RLC-1224A

      • LifeHackster on YT says the CX410 is better than the CX810 in low light and has tested it.

Yeh I dunno. TheHookUp dude suggested that the CX810 was just better due to increased resolution - here’s his comparison of all Reolink cameras just a month ago:

I picked up a CX810 this week in an AliExpress sale, so it should be a super great upgrade to my 820a..

      • the details I shared are from Reolink team itself.

      • Worth noting though that LifeHackster and The Hookup both used default settings in their tests.

I saw the Hookups review and he did indeed rate the CX810 higher. There is always the variable of street and natural lighting.

  • How do these compare to Hikvision?

Hikvision got shit tonne of cameras and generally considered higher grade. it is probably also orientated towards business not a consumer home product.

  • I have the RLC 1220A and the CX410 (I was going to buy the CX810 but I missed the previous deal wasting too much time).

The RLC 1220A and the CX410 look pretty different at night. Personally I want to only get the ColorX series now. I also am not concerned about too much detail (i.e. looking at number plates/faces), it's more that I want to know if someone has been at/near my house.
