        Not really. If I want a hotel-only stay for myself I have to pay almost double what you’ve listed in the title.

    Better off booking direct i rekon.. aldi holidays are backended by flight centre and ignite travel which means 2 3rd party sites… no thanks

    The price comes out similar to jet star for day dream island, and they do 6 nights instead of 5.

    China tour is from $1,299 ex Brisbane. There’s a similar deal here (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/866280) which is cheaper for ex Sydney and Melbourne. There’s some good discussion in that deal around the activities, some of which are shopping experiences where there is pressure to buy overpriced items. Still could be a good way to see a bit of China relatively cheaply but best to go in with your eyes open and knowing what to expect.
