        You posted it for $3,275

        • I made a typo and corrected it before you left your comment.

  • +2

Thanks op. Seems ATL. Good deal.

  • +3

The sound of this is more immersive compared to Bose Ultra QC

  • +1

Thanks OP, got one. A little more then what i was planning to spend on a pair, but these seem fantastic.

    • +5

you won't regret them, awesome set of cans.

Sound quality and ANC are awesome, good for big ears like mine. HEAPS of battery life (like 60hrs)

only thing is the touch gestures on the side are very sensitive and while doing workouts (like shoulder presses) i have often "paused" my music with my shoulder touching the headphone. So much that i've turned off the touch gestures entirely.

    • +1

For the price, you've landed an incredible deal

  • Great deal! It was time for an upgrade from my momentum 3 headphones

  • Thanks OP - believe I got the last one in stock.

  • FYI:
It has no air ventilation at all, easily sweating just wearing a while.
The touch control has too many functions, hard to find what you want, or mistouch.
Unneccessary needed to hold the button to start up or shutdown.

    • Hold to turn off/on is very necessary on commuter headphones imo. Last thing you want is half your battery drained because it accidentally turned on in your bag.

      • +2

No, the switch type like bose QC works better.

        • +2

Thats just personal preference, not really a downside like you have listed.

        • I really like the Bose QC switch; intuitive and functional like old school switchgear compared to modern touch controls.

Always have it in a soft padded so no issues with accidental turn off or on.

    • +6

It has no air ventilation at all, easily sweating just wearing a while.

This is the case for pretty much all closed back headphones though. If it had air ventilation, then ambient noise would creep in easily.

If it's a hot day, use in-ears instead that day.

      • It is much hotter than Bose QC and momentum 2, all are closed back. I have all of them.

    • +1

I have no issues with sweat or heat under normal use. Touch control is easy to use - no issues here either. I place my headphones in the case after each use, so they auto shutdown when placed inside (I believe there's a magnet used as the trigger). Holding a button for a second or two is no big deal. Honestly I don't see any of these as downsides, just personal preference

  • +1

I bought these a month ago. Great sound and long lasting 60 hour battery. The noise cancelation is also decent. My only small gripe with this is the touch controls will always turn itself on by default when the headphones turn on. This can't be changed.

    • how much did u pay?

  • +2

    These or wh-1000xm4

    • +2

Have both - I prefer these for everyday/work use and wh-1000xm4 for travel. These have better sound quality, excellent battery life and good ANC whereas XM4s have the best ANC and fold up nicely for travel.

If your main priority is the best ANC and portability then get Sony, otherwise if you're happy to lose a bit of ANC for an improvement in everything else - go Momentum 4.

      • @Skumzy
if i have relatively small head which one is more "plush" to the head? ie. more clamping is better, not protrude too much to the side and the cup diameter is not too big

        • If you mean more flush to the head then XM4. They have stronger clamping force, slightly smaller ear cups, and fit closer to the head (see rtings comparison photos).

The Momentum 4s have deeper and more "plush" ear pads.

    Tl;dr summary

    • Better sound quality than Bose or Sony
    • worse noise cancelling than Bose or Sony
    • comfortable but not as comfortable as the Sonys

I love my Momentum 3s but I have always liked Sennheiser’s sound signature. The best buy for most people are the Sony XM4/XM5s due to superior noise cancelling.

    • +2

comfortable but not as comfortable as the Sonys

This is going to vary a lot between people, so it's always best to try it out in person. I find Sony's WH-1000XM series uncomfortable because the earcup depth is too shallow for my ears.

      • Yep, have both XM3s and the Momentum 4 and I much prefer the Sennheisers for my larger, sticky outie ears. Best to try them on if possible before buying, does JB Hi-fi still have a test station for headphones or am I showing my age?

        • How do you compare the sound quality / signature of the two Momentums?

    • +1

I always think Bose is way more comfortable than Sony’s.

    • I also have Momentum 3 and like the sound a lot. How do you compare the audio quality of the 4's?

  • OOS now.

Edit: It was OOS but I refreshed the page and was able to buy.

  • Oooh, so tempting as they are one of the few high-end brands that pinch above the ear so that there is a lesser gap. Annnd out of stock T.T

    • Still one in stock now. Maybe check every few minutes if someone cancels. When I bought just now they had 4 available.

      • OK I can see they keep adding them up. Just bumped it to 10 more despite units sold going up.

  • +3

More noise cancellation with Sony and Bose but electronic NC will interfere with the sound quality. It is just science and cannot have both.
I believe Sennheiser may have it just right.

  • +2

Just thought you're aware that you can return for free after you try it within 30 days in case you don't like it. It is acceptable by Sennheiser when you purchase directly from Sennheiser eBay store.

I bought one last month for $283. Great sound!

    • @tung0211
hmm tempted just to test the ANC on the flight next week (and i'll be back in 2 weeks)
wow with TRS this is just $245

      • You'll need to buy something else to tip it over $300.

        • nope the receipt will be full price 399

  • Got one too. Thanks OP. Time to give my ears something good. Shopback 2% CB for Westpac.

  • Bought one, hopefully this is a decent upgrade from my Bose 700s

    • +1

I went from the same bose 700 - They sound alot better in my opinion

      • huh but bose700 is double the price

  • +1

Got a pair. Been waiting for a low $300, but this is an awesome price. Thanks OP

  • -4

Thanks OP, however, it's showing $399 now!!

    • +1

      Still showing $279 for me
Are you an eBay plus member?

      • Thanks. No, I'm not.

  • Just got one. Still in stock. Thanks OP.

  • i prefer/need sony whxm4 with this refub code in stock again :(

  • -5

Code rejected by eBay as my account is not plus

    • Of course it was rejected

      • Of course. No need Sherlock Holmes for that

  • I bought a pair of the copper SE from amazon during another sale, and I regret it. The touch controls are finnicky as hell, the auto-pause almost never works the way I want it to (pauses when I want it to play, plays when it I want it to pause). The head detection doesn't work, it thinks I'm not wearing them when I am, causing the headphones to turn off every 15 mins so I just turned it off.

The connectivity to my PC is weak, which is a problem I didn't have with the previous model and was only fixed by buying a Sennheiser brand BT dongle.

A couple months into owning these the left cup started making these low crackling sounds, which is annoying but harmless and is usually drowned out by music or other audio, but then a day later it started making loud popping noises that felt like my eardrum was popping. I thought it was my ear at first until I turned the headphones around and I experienced the same thing in my right ear, and I put the headphones down and could hear it popping from 2 rooms away. I think I fixed it by turning the ANC off, but the ANC is like 75% of the point of paying so much money for these headphones. I turned off the touch settings, the auto-wear detection, the auto-play feature. None of these features are satisfactory.

I plan on sending these headphones in to be looked at, but I am extremely disappointed with these headphones except for the battery life. The momentum 3's were better in every way except for battery life and the only reason I "upgraded" was because the 3s I had could only hold a 30m charge after 3+ years of constant use every day. My next headphones will not be Sennheiser.

    • thanks now i decide to pass

      • Have you updated the firmware?

  • Bought these a few months ago, love them. I own XM4s, Bose 45 and 700, these are better that all of the others soundwise. Bose 45s I use for long haul travel due to NC and size gave the others away to family members.

    • Duh now i want it again, one thing are sure the NC momentum4 is better than sony xm4?

      • +2

The comment above that you replied to was the only negative comment about these headphones and it changed your mind. Something tells me you Dontneedthis.

        • Yes im in dilemma one time i like full headphone due to anc and sound quality but minutes later i think too troublesome to carry headphone and get earphones instead

          • +2

@CyberMurning: Trust me, the sound quality and experience of earphones don't even come close to a good pair of headphones.

  • Thanks bought one. I have hd599 and like its big deep earcups. Hope this will have the similar size. I have Sony xm3 and tried Bose ones in JB hi-fi, none of them is comfortable to wear more than 1 hour

  • Tempting.

I keep reminding myself that I only have 1 set of ears, but still tempted

  • Just got this error trying the code: Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order.

  • +3
