If you have a TenTops close to you, Ben & Jerry tubs are only $4 all the time :)
I looked online, there's about 7 or 8 stores in total, in regional NSW / western Sydney.
Still, if true, $4 a tub seems a very good deal??? Too good to be true? Otherwise surely, it would have it's own Ozb post?
I'll go you one better - if you live near a Golden Circle Factory (Capalaba QLD, or Morayfield QLD) they are 3 for $10 all the time. :)
Aren't they normally the ones that don't sell well and close to used by? Our local store had dairy free ones only

IMO go the maggie beer branded ice cream. 30% cream, actual egg yolks, all the good stuff.
it's $8 at coles at the moment (down from $12 usually), but it's good stuff.
try the Kapiti vanilla it's made using real vanilla beans…you can taste the difference
