Why the negs lol. Glass or ceramic ones will only break because you drop them. The plastic ones will break/deteriorate before you drop them.
Plastic is actually preferred for thermal stability, it won't syphon heat away from the slurry as quickly as glass or ceramic which are better conductors.
Didn't think of that, I use plastic because it came in the bundle with carafe. I still find my coffee is not that hot, even with boiling water.
just gotta heat it up. non-plastic will hold the heat better once you get it nice and hot, it just takes a lot longer.
