Once it is added to your account, it will never expire.

  • Can you use gift cards to pay for this?

    • if you mean coles mc / vanilla visa GC yes

    Woohoo, 5%.

    • +4

      Technically less.

With the risk of attracting negative votes: It's $10 for $210 spend = ~4.76%

      • +1

Which is better than the standard 2-4% off.

        • Agreed, better than standard 2-4% and less than 5% mentioned by GregRust :-)

      • $10 off for $200 spend

        • And that $10 is for a new order of $10 or more, so $210 min spend.
It's also "Promo Credit" so not applicable to all products sold via Amazon (e.g. products sold by 3rd party and shipped by amazon are not applicable)

This Offer only applies to items sold and shipped by Amazon AU on Amazon.com.au.

  • I think ShopBack plus will give us 5% on super swap, including Amazon, so why this?

    • This is easier.

    • +4

Easier. No need to swap. Instant. You don't need to reach min $10 to withdraw to bank etc.

Screw signing up to a subscription for a cashback site to get paywalled cashback deals.

    • Because some people believe it is 5% off

    • This is for PRIME members only and like myself, not everyone is. Shopback is a handy alternate method to gain a discount on the rare occasion that I shop on Amazon..

  • Can't buy.

Mine keeps asking me to verify my card and goes in an endless loop.

    • same as mine

  • +2

It looks like there's something wrong with their payment system at the moment. It doesn't allow me to add a new card or edit an existing card to finalise the payment. The webpage flashes and goes back to previous step in an endless loop.

  • Same issue, keep asking for verify card

  • I gave up, can't add new payment , can't update can't remove…

    • It works now, I just purchased one.

  • Payment verification issue is fixed now.

  • Purchased, thanks

  • Still available

  • Got it. Now waiting for promo credit to be applied

  • This morning I purchased a $200 gift card and about 15 minutes later I received an email, subject "Benefit Confirmation for your Order …". In the body it says "we have now automatically applied a $10 promotional credit to your account which will automatically be applied to your next purchase …".

Now I'm trying to make an Amazon.com.au purchase, but at checkout there is no sign of the $10 credit. Is anyone else having this issue?

    • +2

You’ve to add an item that’s shipped and sold by Amazon AU

      • +3

Thanks, that explains it. My item was shipped by Amazon but sold by a third party seller. What an annoying limitation.

  • I am getting "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

    • +1

If it is showing as applied in the column on the right then it is because you are trying to add the code twice. It is just a badly worded error.

  • -1

    Got it, thanks :)

  • -1

Oh no, I bought but didn't add promo code at checkout… 😑 Any chance Amazon help me out?

  • +2

Thanks OP just ordered $200 card now. The $10 promotional has 12 months expiry, thanks for the screenshot to make sure the code was active.

  • surprised this is still active, would've thought it would be allocation exhausted within 2 weeks lol

  • I just bought but didn't get the $10…

    • Did you enter the code at checkout?
Did you add an item that’s shipped and sold by Amazon AU to confirm that it’s been added?

      • Was not allowed to enter code, but could see the right column had worded it auto. Yes, checked, confirmed no free $10 sold by Amazon AU, and also there's supposed to be an email sent if you get the $10, but I didn't receive any email
