Hey everyone! I have been busy and currently overseas, didn't have much time for deals. Here is a FREEBIE!! deal that usually is $605.

Coursera Plus is an online training platform that offers more than 7,000 courses on various subjects, as well as preparation for certifications. Coursera is also the only place where you can do Google, Meta, AWS, Microsoft specialisations and also has a lot of University affiliations.

This subscription usually costs around AU$605 for the year - however when accessing the deal link as a new user via Mexico VPN, it is completely free as part of a promotion.

Note: You only require VPN for the sign-up / payment process - once completed, disconnect and access the subscription / courses as normal without VPN.

(Don't forget to cancel your subscription to avoid a charge in one years time).

Instructions:

1 - Connect to VPN via Mexico

2 - Access the following link (use incognito mode for better results): https://www.coursera.org/courseraplus/special/newcoursepromo

3 - Subscribe for one year. (Enter your payment details/information).

4 - Deactivate VPN and access paid courses as normal for one year.

Note: You can cancel immediately and keep the whole years access (Go to Manage Subscriptions, click the subscription you want to cancel, then click cancel subscription).

Coursera Plus is a subscription service that gives users unlimited access to over 7,000 courses, specializations, and professional certificates. It includes content from top universities and companies, such as Google, IBM, and Duke University.

It gives you access to 7,000+ courses and specializations (which are a collection of courses that lead to a certificate) with one monthly or annual subscription.

Over 90% of the courses on the platform are available with the Plus subscription.

You have unlimited access to the training from 170+ leading companies and universities. And you can earn certificates for all of them (there might be a few that don’t offer certificates).

    Yep also got a cancellation email "with immediate effect".
    However they did NOT cancel recurrent charge though :)

    My profile still says:
    "MX$7,740 per year. Your card will be charged on September 30, 2025."

    So I was ineligible for Mexican promos but they are happy to take my MX$ in case if I forget to cancel.
    Bloody good job :)

      7740 MXN is about same 600 AUD who pays such money over there… :/
      I do earn a good amount and I do love their courses but I am not going to pay 50 per month…
      In fact, nobody I know pays to coursera from their own pockets. Only cases are when corporations pay for their employees to have access.

      Strange… oh well…. cya then.

    Also received the email but still have access to a course I enrolled in and going through the catalogue it looks like I can enroll in other courses too. Anyone else getting that? (Access via app)

    What a bad move by Coursera! Should have allowed atleast 2-3 months so we could have used and if we liked we would have subscribed. But no looks like they have enough customers

    No ones got personal 600 bucks to learn courses. It’s trying times after all.

    I got an email this morning saying that my Coursera plus subscription has been cancelled.

    "We're happy you are interested in Coursera Plus to help you reach your learning and career goals.

    However, it has come to our attention that you may have been ineligible for the Coursera promotional offer that you redeemed recently. We will therefore cancel your access with immediate effect."

    I was wondering if this has happened to others that signed up for this deal and if there is any way to get it back? I had already started the IBM DevOps course.

      You were busted by not using the VPN for the coursework …

      I have continued to use VPN to access and never cancelled the subscription (yet) and it is still working ;)

      Part way through Generative AI for Software Development Skill Certificate, Unreal Engine Fundamentals, Computer Forensics Specialization

        I was also using VPN during sign up and coursework and didn't cancel subscription but still got busted. I suspect the Australian payment method and non Mexican sounding name also had something to do with it :P

      Just checked my coursera subscription after reading this post. My subscription was deactivated by Coursera but didn't receive cancellation email. Did not use VPN during coursework and used Paypal

    My sub has been cancelled as well obviously but I dont think its a big deal. I had a skim through some of the courses and they werent any better than whats available on Youtube or Udemy.
