[Unobtainable] Coursera Plus Annual Subscription $0/1yr (Usually A$605) @ Coursera (VPN Mexico & Payment Information Required)

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Hey everyone! I have been busy and currently overseas, didn't have much time for deals. Here is a FREEBIE!! deal that usually is $605.

Coursera Plus is an online training platform that offers more than 7,000 courses on various subjects, as well as preparation for certifications. Coursera is also the only place where you can do Google, Meta, AWS, Microsoft specialisations and also has a lot of University affiliations.

This subscription usually costs around AU$605 for the year - however when accessing the deal link as a new user via Mexico VPN, it is completely free as part of a promotion.

Note: You only require VPN for the sign-up / payment process - once completed, disconnect and access the subscription / courses as normal without VPN.

(Don't forget to cancel your subscription to avoid a charge in one years time).

Instructions:

1 - Connect to VPN via Mexico

2 - Access the following link (use incognito mode for better results): https://www.coursera.org/courseraplus/special/newcoursepromo

3 - Subscribe for one year. (Enter your payment details/information).

4 - Deactivate VPN and access paid courses as normal for one year.

Note: You can cancel immediately and keep the whole years access (Go to Manage Subscriptions, click the subscription you want to cancel, then click cancel subscription).

Coursera Plus is a subscription service that gives users unlimited access to over 7,000 courses, specializations, and professional certificates. It includes content from top universities and companies, such as Google, IBM, and Duke University.

Whatโ€™s included in Coursera Plus
It gives you access to 7,000+ courses and specializations (which are a collection of courses that lead to a certificate) with one monthly or annual subscription.

Over 90% of the courses on the platform are available with the Plus subscription.

You have unlimited access to the training from 170+ leading companies and universities. And you can earn certificates for all of them (there might be a few that donโ€™t offer certificates).

There are more than 15 Professional Certificate programs (including all the courses from Google) available too, but degrees and some other classes are excluded from the subscription plans.

Benefits of Coursera Plus:
Unlimited access: Users can take as many courses as they want without paying extra.
Flexible learning: Users can create a learning schedule that fits their lifestyle.
Earn certificates: Users can earn valid certificates for all their professional and specialization programs.
Career support: Coursera Plus can help users improve their skills and advance their careers

I think Revolut provides a disposable card… could be helpful for trials like this

        • Just tried and didn't work, Seems Coursera doesn't accept disposable cards

          • +2

@ninohax: I tried my Bano card and it worked

Regardless, use your standard bank card or PayPal even, itโ€™ll work.
Just make sure to cancel your subscription right after.

            • +1

@Gervais fanboy: Pardon my ignorance but what is a Bano Card? Is it something similar to Revolut?

          • @ninohax: Revolut worked for me

          • +6

@ninohax: Revolut works. Just generate a virtual (not disposable) card. You can delete virtual cards too. They just don't disappear automatically.

        • I use Wise disposable card, works fine.

        • Revolut has gone downhill. The disposable card doesnโ€™t work anywhere. Their virtual card does but you are only allowed to create 3 to 4 virtual cards a month. Zip is a good alternative but they donโ€™t let you delete their disposable cards. They auto delete after being used. Wise is good, lets you delete the card 3 to 4 times a day. Iโ€™ll give Bano a try.

          • @kdmeir: just used a Zip one time virtual card and it worked

      • +4

Just cancel the sub immediately after signing up.

      • +4

You can actually cancel the subscription and use until 30th of Sep next year

  • any free mexico vpn?

  • +6

Thanks OP, it works for me, successfully subscribed and cancelled.. still have access so that I don't have to remember to cancel in a year's time.

  • That worked! Love a freebie
    Thanks

  • Awesome! Works like a charm! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • +1

    Thanks ๐Ÿ‘‹ Used Nord vpn

  • Great deal, been eyeing a few courses on there!

It's a shame the DeepLearning.ai courses are not part of Coursera Plus. Which is funny cause Andrew Ng is the co-founder of DeepLearning.ai as well lol

    • +1

What courses are you looking into? I did the Google Cyber Security one, found it to be a little too easy though…

      • +1

I'm looking at the Mathematics for Machine Learning Specialization offered by ICL. I'm hoping these courses give me enough background to understand the theory when I do deeplearning.ai courses.

  • For billing information, do we put Australia or Mexico as the country?

    • +2

I put in Mexico.. worked fine with a revolut card

    • +4

I put Australia, and it still worked :)

      • +1

        I also put in Australia

      • Same. Aus worked.

    • I put in Australia. It worked with an australian card too.

  • +1

Thanks. Worked with Tunnelbear on Android.

  • What IT course is the most useful for both resume and practicality?

    • +4

None of these are relevant for a resume

    • Anything excel based. There is excel data analysis courses there that would apply to a whole bunch of job types and learning pathways.
Anything python based if you want to get more into the data science weeds.
Apart from that, whatever tickles your fancy.

But these will only come with coursera certificates…. not proper degrees from the originating uni's. So they won't stand up as well on a resume as real uni quals. But they can be used to show you have an interest, and you can learn as much as you want.

      • There is excel data analysis

I did some udemy ones from years back from a free OZB deal years ago it was pretty good.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Signed up and cancelled… Was hoping to do some DeepLearning.ai courses.. but they seem to be excluded.

    • Do you still hace access if you cancel straight away?

      • Yes, ofcourse. Cancel Immediately it's 100% recommended.

  • +1

    Thank you.

    I used Urban VPN

  • Thanks OP

Edit: Used Urban VPN and Paypal

  • Thanks op i used nord and PayPal. Cancelled already

  • Worked a treat. It asked my country. I said Mexico.

    • +1

Worked with NordVPN and PayPal. I selected my Country as Australia and worked fine. Canceled the subscription and deleted the payment info.

  • -1

Are you sure you want to cancel?
If you cancel your Coursera Plus subscription, you will no longer have unlimited access to 7,000+ courses, Guided Projects, Specializations, and Professional Certificates starting on September 29, 2025.

    • +4

The date is 2025 so you get 1 year access :)

  • Amazing, thanks mate - ripper deal

  • Thanks the best deal for me.

  • +1

Bloody awesome deal! Thanks Heaps OP

  • +1

It is showing as follows. It's not showing as Valid till 28 September 2025 or something. Is it expected?

    Coursera Plus annual subscription
    Status: Cancelled

    • +1

Yep. No valid sub even though you still have access for remaining 12 months

  • +1

Interesting, just spent about $120 recently doing a cyber security course. I used a VPN to set my country to Mexico and was able to subscribe with my existing account since I was already logged in. Thanks, will be doing more courses :)

  • +2

    Thank you.

    I used Urban VPN

I used my existing account also, no need to be a new account it appears!

    • Same, used existing account :)

  • Which courses everyone planning on doing?

    • +25

      none

      • +4

        This is the way.

  • Where is cancel subscription? It's not in settings or purchases? There's no purchase history either but I've got coursera plus…confused as

    • My Purchases > Subscriptions

      • Yeah this is strange. There's nothing under payment history.

        • Likewise, let me know if you work it out.

          • +1

@Hawk Tuah: I just deleted the account and signed up again. Worked this time

            • +1

@txb: Make sure you contact them to be 100% sure you don't get charged since you technically didn't cancel the subscription (only the account).

I had the same issues, the link in the welcome email worked to take me to my subscriptions

        • +1

          Should be under subscriptions.

But the page design is terrible. Subscriptions and purchases are actually sections you click on and then it'll expand. But it doesn't look like it. Took me ages.. But try clicking on subscriptions and the section should expand

        • I just did this and noticed it takes a while to appear. So just leave it a few minutes.. i actually logged out, and back in, and about 10 minutes later it appeared and I could cancel the subscription.

    • +4

Go into your email from Welcome to Coursera Plus itโ€™s in there

      • Yeah the link from the email worked for me as well

    • Check your emails.

      I couldn't see it either.

Confirm your email address and then the option to cancel will be visible in the following email or in your subscription.

  • Wow! Thanks OP. Signed up.

  • Thank you Scrooge. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Now a question for the brains-trust.
Should I do this coursera or continue to waste my life playing Fortnite?

    • I heard you can make a lot of money playing Fortnite.
