I have this unit from a year or so ago. Having some issues getting the Samsung Super fast charging 2.0. Should be charging at 45w however only reaching 30w. Have tried multiple 100w cables as well

    • Mines over 2 years old and have never had any issues super fast charging.

Have you measured using battery app?

  • If only everything was USB c. I still mostly need USB A ports

Wait for this to go on sale, hopefully on the prime day: https://amzn.asia/d/cJSMVBw

There is a similar one from Ugreen as well n

    • you can get micro-USB to USB-C cables (and lightning to USB-C)

      Been around for ages.
      Good reputable brand!
Have lots through work and 200w ones are a beast

Ah good to know. They must specialize in the bigger power adapters.
Just a lot of brands on Amazon but suppose some have been around for a few years now.
More than just Anker around now and more competitive. Seem like uGreen has come a long way but used to buy anyway.

They're decent but always worth checking individual models.

This one is meant to be pretty good. This model failed for me and was replaced under warranty.

I also had the 100W gan which needed to be power cycled before it would fast charge devices. This seemed to be commonly reported in user reviews. I ended up contacting the seller who issued a refund.

          • @ihfree: and do you still use it?

          • @ihfree: So 'pretty good' yet failed and got a refund…

@G-rig: Every product has a failures. I've sent back various products from reputable brands - SSDs, phones, laptops, iPads, etc.

IMO, where there would be concern is

              • product is missing features
              • bad design
              • suggestion of a high failure rate
              • fails in a unsafe way - fire, falling apart or exposing live wires

              Other aspects would include

              • warranty difficulty
              • feedback manipulation
              • @ihfree: Oh right so you got another one the same?

                • +1

@G-rig: Yeah, for the 165w, I'm using the replacement.

  • The best charger on the market right now for most charging situations.
