Update: Avoid! I have asked very basic questions of this crowd and getting any type of technical answers or support from these guys is a nightmare i would recommending avoiding.

Came across this deal $88 dollar for 1000/50 probably the cheapest ive seen anywhere, they're backed by URL Networks https://www.url.net.au so not sure what their performance is like.

CGNat only no Opt-Out

Must enter promo code at checkout: Quokkas Love Eights

        • Hi Antik,

Do you know if you can just apply another voucher to your existing connection or do you need to churn away and then sign up again under another name?

          Thanks.

          • @Berko613: I contacted live chat, and they advised that you can reach out to them directly with your discount code, and they'll apply it to your account. However, they recommended waiting until your current discount expires before using the new code. If applied early, the new code won't extend your current discount but will replace it, starting a new 12-month period from the activation date.

            • @antik: Thanks so much. Just what I was hoping for. Connection has been solid, so happy to stay on with the discounted rate. Thanks again.

  • Are these services gives 1gbps download all the time
    Can I download 1gbps 24x7

    Thanks OP,, great deal

    • +1

I generally get 945Mbps download speed 24/7 on FTTP regardless of RSP. I’ve tried 5-6 different RSP’s now over the years, speed wise and reliability, they’re all the same for me

      • Thanks.. that means I can share this with few neighbors to keep the cost down.

        • Neighbours? Wifi range would be the biggest hurdle. Unless you all live in straw houses very close to each other

          • +1

@antik: use tp-link internet over power line adaptors,, they work great.

            • +1

              @ssd01: To your neighbours?

              • @antik: yeah,, it has to be in the same phase as the power line,,

  • Realistically where r we at with using starlink as alternative to nbn?

    • If you live out in the sticks, starlink seems preferential due to performance, however its not the cheapest.

    • Rather unrealistic unless in very rural area and/or without good mobile signal.

Current monthly cost on Starlink I think is $139? You could get gigabit NBN slightly cheaper than it, or comparable speed at 30-50% less with NBN or 5G.

    • I’ll do anything to avoid making musk money

  • At first I thought it was a Nigerian scammer who posted this deal, based on the poor grammar in the title.

    • Quokka’s aren’t known for their ability to articulate well.

    • lol, Iooks like my comment has caused the OP to fix the grammar. Well done OP, it’s much better now.

  • Just noticed on website "Offer ends 30/09/2024."

    • It also says it in this deal

      Expiry: 30 Sep (2 days)

  • Any 50mbps plans?

  • -1

We use a lot of Zoom, are there any 100/100 plans left? Seems 100/40 is the norm now?

  • out of interest anyone actually used Quokka Net how is their international download

  • Do they do a credit check or just take your CC like normal?

    • Take your CC

  • How do I get that discount? For me after applying the code it says

QuokkasLoveEights - $0.00 AUD Recurring Discount
    Expires after 8 billing period/s

  • I decided to go with Mate for $60pm, also get an extra $10 off for bundling my mobile.

    Does it have IPv6?

    • No it doesn't

  • Can you get VOIP with this?

  • is anyone on this?

    • +1

i think the silence says it all

    • Oh dear, Fttp connection ? I will be connected with them in 2 weeks

      • nvm… they were able to hook me up with a provisional plan 100/40 till their upstream provider get their crap together then they'll move me to the 1gb/50 plan (yes fttp). I think they are working hard but understaffed. …. So overreaction from me. a little understanding for the little ISP can help out!

  • I've been signed up for a few days and it's been flawless so far, no complaints.
    https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/10455956589 over wifi.

  • Just connected via fttp today and no manual setup required. Speed is good too.

    • how long did it take you to get connected? and whats the evening speeds like?

      • Less than an hour, though I need to email them about the timing. The gap was only up to 10-15 mins

        • so it's just like all the other providers, snappy etc good routing?
