$75 off First Year Comprehensive Car Insurance @ Australia Post (Online Only)

121

Australia Post Car Insurance: 13.3% Cashback @ ShopBack deal
that cash back also includes 3rd party. as well as

always go through the shopback site.

Auspost car insurance has been my go to for the last 3-ish years. for my main car my comprehensive is <$400. for my kids cars - 3rd party is just <$400

NOTE - cashback website says you need to go through their website to get to the auspost car insurance site.

NOTE #2 - auspost insurance is not the best choice for everyone. some people, due to location, age, car, driving history, claim history, shoe size, etc will obtain expensive / non-competitive quotes. I understand that. just as when I have done quotes with other insurers and received stupidly expensive quotes compared to other options.

  • ShopBack has taken it off lol

  • Just to share my own experience, cheapest is not the best when it comes to claims. I recently was unlucky enough to have to deal with insurance company about a claim and they are horrible to deal with. Can tell you RACQ and AAMI was a world of difference with RACQ coming out top but I switched because of the premium and regretted it during my recent claim process.

It's always YMMV. I've had a seamless experience with a claim with Woolworths insurance, while a friend of mine had a horrible experience with AAMI. It probably depends on a whole lot of factors.

    • Australia Post is just QBE. I didn't have much issue claiming a hail repair through them previously.

    • what's wrong? Im currently dealing with them on my claim, they're pretty good

    • I've had no issue claiming with Auspost (QBE) too. It could admittedly be smoother, ie. fully online, but it's fine.

  • how long until the cashback gets approved usually?

  • MMMM $5,603.03 for me tesla yeeeee

    • Yayks

    • That's what you get for buying a ticking time bomb on wheels

    • Is that real? $5,603.03 can't be right?

  • Triple Bingle, nice

Far from any bargain. 4,054 for my Pajero Sport 21. This doesn't even deserve a place in Ozbargain

    • Yeah, but then it was the cheapest comprehensive insurer for my 2014 outlander. So…

    • Wow Australia post is really moving out of their lane these days aren't they with all the things they retail now?

Personally it bugs me I'm in line for such a long time in their stores that I refuse to buy anything non-delivery from them.

Maybe fix what they're supposed to be good at first - helping people get things delivered from A to B.

Ironic, isn't it. An organisation that exists to let you send physical objects to physical addresses, and it'll only let you buy insurance off them if you do it through their competitor, the internet.

    • +1

The internet in every physical stores competitor, if you think that way.

Heck, why stop there, even online stores has the internet as their income source as well as their competitor.

Why stop there, even human relationships has the internet as their competitor.

If you actually go a little further, the internet is its own competitor.

  • The cashback is up to 15% this morning. Including cashback it got close to, but not better than, Woolworths Everyday Insurance which costs me $52 per month. Plus every now and then Woolworths throw me bonus reward points to use on my shopping. On another note, how does everyone decide what to set their excess at?
