I was in the same situation. So I just signed up a new one. Then just ask to link the old account if I want.

      • Ah thanks, so the credits/points will transfer over once linked?

        • Yes. But I only tried with my 2 AU based accounts. I haven't tried to combine 2 accounts from different regions. So can't guaranteed.

          • @Micky14: No worries, thanks.

            • +1

@Tech45: Just sharing if others are in this position. They were able to link the new Philippines account to my existing Accor All Malaysia account. Very quick process.

Just signed up using tunnelbear free vpn. it failed at first try, but worked second time.
    paid via revolut for 181.16
you can change you phone and address via the link sent to you after sign up.

    thank you.

    • oh, wow, didn't realise you could change the address etc after sign up, but my VPN couldn't use PNP anyway, I had to do through HK. Cost me AUD$210 approx…still cheaper than the $279 I was going to pay before trying this

    • If you used VPN, can just put your aussie address and phone no need to put a local philippines address on signup. Did this 2 days ago, just ensure its a new email not an existing account tied to aus. Got confirmation almost immediately.

      • What do you mean by using new email? Dont we need to sign into ALL account before signing up for this A+? Im about to pull the trigger but saw your message - just need to make sure I am doing it right? Thanks

        • Update
If you accor account hasn't had Accor plus before, you can just use it to sign up.

          ============================
You don't need to sign in to buy this. If you use your AU accor email it will say yours is Australia and won't let you purchase. Unless you have a Philippine account. So you need a new email to sign up.

          • @Micky14: But how do we link the 2 together? Is it possible? As I need those 20nights to add to what on my Accor nights to move up the ladder.

Thanks for taking time to reply my noob question.

  • How do you cancel this as the end of the first year approaches? I had to contact CS last time as I could not see an option to do it from my account.

    • I want to know this as well. I did a search, but can't navigate to the info it mentions and can't find my payment details in the membership info or if it is auto renew or not. I have a whole year to work it out, but I would rather turn it off now if it will bill me again automatically

  • Is the free night only redeemable in Asia Pacific hotels? I'm going to be in the Middle East later this year and a free night would come in handy.

    • +1

I'm sorry to say I'm not sure.. what I can say is that even in Australia, there are location and date limitations to the free night.

I have used it twice, two years in a row now, but just saying.

    • Yea I think so

    • Yes, the free night is only available in the Asia Pacific (inc Australia) region.

  • My accor plus Explorer through HongKong expired recently. Can I sign up to the Philippines accore plus with my existing HK account?

    • I think it's worth a try. I'd be surprised if it didn't work

Thanks for posting. How long does it take for your email link to arrive as I have waited 10 min so far after payment?

        • Hmm. Mine was pretty instant? Did you check your spam folder? Otherwise, try to just stay using it? Like request your login and try to just stay using it like normal?

          • @the-rabs: So far, I received nothing in mailbox. Still waiting.
Not sure what to do as I don’t have login passwords.

            • @neworder: Try to request a password reset using your email address?

Otherwise, just call the concierge for all Accor. They should be able to help.. I hope.

              • +1

                @the-rabs: Thanks. Will try.

              • @the-rabs: Their chat said it will take 24-48 hours to arrive.

                • @neworder: I'm into the same situation.. What's worse, I clicked too fast when sign up so I don't even have payment reference recorded.

                  • @madonion: Fingers crossed. Still waiting their email.

                    • @neworder: Same, 3hrs since signup :(

                      • @moonpen: Any emails? I received nothing. Tried to contact them via chat and they said they need to pass it on to the Phillipines team to help me. They will call me.

                  • @madonion: Any emails?

                    • @neworder: @neworder multiple emails and finally their team resolved this… it's a drama story

  • Noob here, have an upcoming trip to tas planned, would there be a benefit in signing up to this to gain a free night? When I did it with IHG ambassador it was nearly not worth the free night because the hoops you needed to jump through and much higher direct rate, although could just be that I didn’t know how to use it wisely 😂

    • +3

Only worth for expensive hotels that are available. Best availability 12 months ahead. Free to cancel and rebook

      • With no minimum night stay?

        • Accor plus comes with one free night. So yeah can stay one night only :)

  • Any chance anyone can let me know if there are any 4-5 star hotels left for StayPlus in around Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD for the Saturday 2nd of Feb 2025?

    • +1

For two adults, I found plenty but unfortunately I (presumably) wasn't able to see if the StayPlus is available because I've used mine up already.

    • +1

novotel is generally free with stay plus. Quite hard to find sofitel and pullman free with stay plus.

      • +2

plenty options on that date including sebel, MGallery, pullman and sofitel wentworth (with club lounge) but not sofitel darling harbour which is the pick of accor in Sydney

    • Thanks all!

  • "User mismatch" error when on the payment page? Any ideas?

  • I just paid $279 AUD and thought it’s a bargain

    • same :(

  • Can anyone please check dates between October 31 - November 2nd for Hobart?

    • +1

Seems like Ibis Styles, Mantra on Collins and Movenpick have Stay Plus available during those dates.

      • Thank you for checking

      • How do you check that easy. I found it so hard to check

        • It wasn't easy, I'm just trying to help someone out

  • +2

Worked for me, thanks OP and @neil.

Downloaded Tunnelbear app. Signed up to free account. Connected to Philippines server.
Clicked link from deal. Logged into my Accor account (no Plus membership existing).
Filled out only necessary information only, used all my Australian information. Used ING Visa to pay.
    Confirmed.

    • +3

Just called the hotel I had already booked in Nov and asked for my membership to be updated with them. They said a Stay Plus night was available so the price dropped by ~$400. Noice.

  • Is it prompting anyone else to make a secondary purchase? I can’t proceed with it out?

    • +2

I just tested. You can click no thanks to go to next step.

  • Bugger, my existing Accor+ membership doesn't expire until 31 October, it won't let me to renew/signup on this rate.

    • It doesn't matter - this offer is only for new signups anyway.
You can sign up for this offer with a new email address & let your other one lapse.

      • That's a shame as I want to credit the 20 status nights and future stay points to my original membership account. How would that work?

        • Some people above have said they asked the Accor Plus support & they merged the new & old accounts.

  • Using VPN and differen email - still received "Our records show that you are registered in Australia. Would you like to switch to Australia? Otherwise, please contact Member Services to complete your transaction."

    • I should mention I use Brave and rejected all cookies. Not sure if that helped stop them from seeing other pieces of data that suggested I was in Aus.

      • +1

This worked for me using Brave and Tunnelbear to the Philippines.

  • For people who setup a second Accor Live account, did you put your residence as Australia or Philippines?

If you setup as Phillipines, did you still get charged GST when you paid for Accor Plus?

    • I just put all australian details. Haven't attempted to merge to my australian account.

  • For those having trouble setting up a new account or getting past the payment processing page (it keeps saying “you need to enable cookies on your browser” and wouldn’t let me proceed) - feel free to PM me. I ended up finding a way around it which requires the AccorPlus staff (PH) to send a payment link via email - however not all the staff are willing to do this. The person I contacted can set up a payment link and email to you, for payment - membership goes thru without any dramas (charged at discounted PH rate). Confirmed this deal ends on 27/9/24

Also I used a random address generator and provided them with a Manila address - just to avoid suspicious. Phone number is not required at this stage

  • Well this is really annoying. I was patiently waiting for accor plus deal from August and nothing came up so I signed up on 10th September via hong kong accor at $1588 HKD which was $268 AUD + $8 f/x fee. Now a deal pops up for $184, bloody hell!

Even the HK is discounted by 30% now, has anyone tried to get the 30% refunded?

    • +1

Suggest you fast for 72 hours. Will make up the lost cash, improve your health and then you will be happy.

  • I was looking to sign up as I need a hotel for a concert next month in Sydney. Wondering if any existing member would be kind enough to check the availability of hotels near Qudos Arena on 25/10

    Cheers

  • Oh no what have I done? I signed up and paid for it. Logged in and it says I’m just a regular member. Anyone have any advice on this?

    • +1

Yeah, I'm getting this too. Payment confirmation email said "Please follow the instructions on how to activate your membership in your welcome email from Accor Plus." but there is no welcome email.
Oddly I've signed up to this before and do remember it being a bit of a process to work.

      • +1

I’ve done some googling, apparently it can take up to a couple of hours for the email to arrive so we will see in the morning I guess

        • +1

"Welcome to the Accor Plus programme!" is the subject of the email you are after if you need help looking in:all

          • @Mr BoMBAStiG: Thanks, still yet to receive it.. fingers crossed it comes through

            • +1

@Robbo95: Any update? I am a bit hesitant to go forward if people aren't receiving the welcome email…

              • +1

@krazek: I signed up last night and no welcome email yet

              • +1

@krazek: Hey mate email received at 12:02 confirming the free night is showing available as soon as I logged in

  • The only thing I haven’t received is the 20 status nights

  • +1

Assuming another advantage of going down PH route is renewal at PH prices instead of AU prices, about 35% cheaper if sticking around (~$260 vs $400, unless there's a renewal discount on top?)

    • Yes, renewals are usually slightly cheaper than the full price (eg Australia is $399 for new & $379 for renewals).

  • Does anyone know if there is a thread or forum on this site that has a list of other subscription type setups that are cheaper via VPN besides YouTube Spotify MyFitnessPal google drive

  • does the 10% off you get with accor plus apply on top of all the normal public "member" rates you get from their site? might be worth it just for that on a long stay.

  • paid $181.68 via ING card using Windscribe vpn.

  • OZB free night hotel meet up? (Not weird)

  • +1

Any new deal to get cheap Accor Plus membership? Just reached gold status and need the extra 20 status points to reach platinum =), thanks!
