After their shocking response to flight SQ321 I'm not surprised that the prices are dropping lol.

  • anyone had issues with beat that flight or have booked through them before?

  • @beatthatflight what's your thoughts on any possible price drops for Xmas flights to the UK or is it just a case of sucking up the current prices.
Without doing silly long layovers and multiple stops all main airlines seem to be similar pricing.

Christmas is the nightmare period :/ Best bet is trying to fly before the 15th and back after the 6thish, or else try flying on Christmas day if that works.

Another trick is to try finding 'cheaper' flights just to anywhere in Europe with low airport taxes - Madrid, Rome, etc, and then look for an EasyJet/RyanAir flight across the Channel.

      • Thanks for the reply.

Grandparents want kids on christ, mas day so dont think flying Christmas day is a safe choice for my health!
Did actually check that day and crazy expensive.
I can fly out 1st week in December coming back is anything after christmas.

Problem with stopping somewhere in europe and doing budget airline into UK is they slug the hell out of you on baggage charges. I found that out the hard way last yyear.

  • just remember fellas that if it's Boeing you shouldn't be going 🙃

    • If it's Boring you get to stay there for a longer holiday.

    • I disagree, whilst Boeing has had issues with recent new aircraft. SQs fleet of existing 787-10s, 777-300ERs and 737 MAX 8s have been doing swimmingly well for them. I wouldnt hesitate.

      • +2

I am surprised you included the 737 MAX 8 in there.

      • -1

No idea why you include 777-300ERs in your "doing swimmingly well" fleet list. The recent Singapore Airlines Flight 321 incident was a 16-year-old 777-312ER…

        • I dont know what you know, but the aircraft itself had NOTHING to do with what occurred. It could have happened to ANY aircraft, A380, A350, A320, B787. From the concerns of a maintenance and aircraft quality perspective Boeing is fine. The weather perspective? I dunno go ask God or smth

The weather does not target a 777-300ER…

  • Can i skip the first trip if i bought a return ticket?

    • no

    • No, it'll cancel the rest of the legs

  • whats he best deal for syd thailand return in 2-3 months time?

  • +1

Dont' understand why Singapore hotels so expensive, compare to KL or Bangkok, really want to stay there longer, but rather goto KL or Bangkok which cost much less for accommodations.

  • Hey folks, does anyone know how to book these flight and choose to stay in Singapore for 3-4 nights? Thanks.

    • Sadly that is not possible, you will have to book a multi sector booking from Australia to Singapore and then Singapore to XXX.
Note: The pricing is a lot different as you are pricing two different trips into one.

      • Yes, you're right. I tried and it's a lot more expensive 😔 thank you.

        • I recommend try and use Google Flights, you will see all avail options :)
