Patriot P300 2TB NVMe Gen3x4 SSD - $144 + Shipping ($0 QLD, NSW, ACT C&C) @ Umart

410

Fairly decent entry level 2TB NVMe SSD. Not the fastest NVMe SSD but uses tried and proven flash which should be more reliable than YMTC NAND found in many chinese SSDs. Seems to be plenty in stock. Enjoy

Too bad that one wasn't posted…

      • Yeah, only found that deal on PCPartPicker by filtering for SSDs and sorting by $/GB.
$65/TB ($0.065/GB) is the lowest I found for SSDs so far.

Looks like deal still not posted

  • Could I put this inside a PS5?

    • +4

Physically, yes. but its not supported and not fast enough.

PCIe Gen 3, not supported sadly. ADATA Legend is PCIe Gen 4 and $159. Don't get the Kingston NV2, it's not great.

      • This is not much better than NV2 though

        • NV2 will at least work but the actual controller and nand is random shit that kingston threw together at the time

          • +4

@tonyjzx: I've had 2 out of 6 NV2s fail, hence why I don't recommend them. No issues with Lexar, PNY or this Patriot model, but it really depends on the model as Kingston do have a few OK SSDs in their line-up, just not the NV2

      • On the market for a 2TB M.2 for my PS5 and saw the ADATA Legend - read write speeds are below the recommended by Sony but I suppose it will still work right? Anyone have some feedback for my use case?

        • I went with this last week $155
My ps5 speed tested it at 6482MB/s, i had to buy a heaksink for it though

          • @Jarr0d: @Jarr0d, the images of this ssd shows it fits and doesn't require heat sink for PS5.

Did you test it without heat sink? Does it get very hot?

Also which heat sink did u get?

I'm looking at getting this for my laptop and I won't have space for a heat sink.

      • I think ADATA legend should be posted as a deal.

      • ADATA Legend is below the rated speeds for PS5, it'll still work though. Personally I'd recommend the NM790 2TB from mwave for $175 currently.

How is YMTC NAND less reliable than this?
If you were saying YMTC QLC, it would be comparable, but this is not even in a similar tier with YMTC 232L TLC used in those Chinese SSD you've said.

    • Does this mean the NM790 I got from the other deal is going to fail?

      • +1

NM790 is much better than this. Top DRAMless one for now

  • Do you have any idea of the prices for 512 GB mini NVME? Cannot find any deals on nvme mini
