$59 delivery @ Good Guys (at least to my location)

$621 at Harvey, but cheaper delivery ($49) and 10% back in gift cards

    • I oredered it too soon and then saw your comments. I wonder if TGG will cancel my order.

      • TGG gift cards are better discounted than HN. Eg. AGL rewards 4.5% v 3%. Hope you at least used discounted gift cards.

    • How do you get $611 at Harvey? It comes up as $621 on the website. Or are you saying with delivery they both work out to be the same price?

      • +3

$621 at Harvey, but if needing it delivered it comes to same total, but at Harvey's you get the 10% bonus in gift cards on top

        • Turns out gg were doing a price match to the 10% gift cards. Got it 617 inc delivery

  • 3yr warranty ?! even my crappy samsung ame with 10yrs.

    • Good find @hys and @Ashish31 I have cancelled at Good Guys several days after ordering after finding a better deal elsewhere - in that instance, the retention rep tried to offer free/hastened delivery but overall was too pushy with the sale and was happy to go with another vendor who was offering better pricing..

@Ryxxi I would check your warranty card. Samsung is usually less at 2 years versus Hisense 3 years though inverter parts are longer at 20 years versus 11 years. Good Guys has offered longer warranty promotions for Hisense fridges unfortunately it is not part of this sale.

I am considering the fridge; the door handle is easier to use than the Haier HRF420BEC model I was comparing against and the energy rating costs are competitive over the more energy efficient Hisense HRBM418D model due to the sale price difference.

Thank you @BlueGlowOne i will send them an email.

Pretty sure its only 2 years. The way they advertise the inverter warranty is designed to mislead.

Damn thats a good price.. good find OP

  • What does bottom mount mean? Seriously

    • +3

Fridge top door / freezer bottom door

    • its like toilet paper
the loose end goes over the top of the roll
and on fridge freezer combos the freezer goes at the top

in this instance the world has imploded a little because hisense made no sense by putting the freezer arse about at the bottom

      • +4

Freezer is less accessed than the fridge so makes more sense for the fridge to be easier to access, unless you live on your knees?

      • Bending down constantly to get stuff out of the fridge sucks, but not really an issue if you're short I suppose

        • +1

Freezer on the top can be better if you have kids that peak into it a lot (no easy access to ice cream)

Otherwise only dummies go freezer at the top as ergonomics and say it should be below.

Also pull out shelves are common for bottom mount.

Can you schedule a delivery for this two weeks into the future? Need a new fridge but don’t have space atm to store it.

    • Probably have to call them and ask, I don't think their support monitors this post.

      • Actually you can schedule delivery date with them after order. However I just noticed that the fridge is a smidge too tall for the place I have in the fridge.

  • Will it still be that price tomorrow? Has to see how the inside made quality compared to other fridges.

    • Website says that the deal ends today/

  • 5% cashback with my amex shop at good guys if anyone prefers 50% less value in cash instead of gift cards.

    HN out of stock

F**k! Just bought a $500 HN gift card. Still haven't received it!

Anyone want to buy for $485? 🤣

My similar model, but larger Hisense fridge makes a high pitch annoying noise.

I would recommend paying extra for a brand name.

    • That's the digital inverter motor. Our Samsung fridge makes the same noise. I'm referring to that humming noise. Is that the same noise you are talking about?

      • +1

I wouldn't say humming. More of a high pitch squeal

  • Note, this is not the 8 star efficient model.

    • Comparing the two side by side and by specs the big difference looks to be the compressor and the 'vacuum' sealed insulation. Wonder just how well sealed that would be after 10 years. The compressor seems like it's just a bigger compressor since it's surge current is double this model.

With only a few fridges on the market with a 7-8 star range and all of them coming out of China I question if they will still be running that efficient down the track once all independent testing is long forgotten.

  • +1

I have been using this model for last few months. Got it around $800ish at that time.

    • Does it "makes a high pitch annoying noise" per Aureus' post?

      • +1

Not till now, my fridge is just less than 1.5 years old.

        • Ive had a few friends who have mentioned how noisy new fridges are. Turns out most of them have upgraded from 15+ year old non inverter based fridges. Inverter fridges make different noises and run more often but at much lower levels of power…that's the point of an the inverter concept.

  • 550 with 10% TGG which can be normally purchased from others in ozbargain.

  • Anyone has this fridge and can measure the actual dimensions of it at the back? My cabinet is exactly 1720 high so would just (or not) for the fridge. However I guess that the provided size is at the door which is often a bit taller. The front is ok in terms of being taller but restricted at the back with 1720.

Otherwise it may be to risky to go for this one as I’ll be gutted if it doesn’t fit by a few mm…

    As a tip:
JB pulled this price right on midnight while I was looking at it.
Good Guys pulled price about 12:30am while I had it in cart and clicked "pay".

    Price went back to $888…

But… If I clicked "Price Check" , the $611 was still there and processed.

In not Ozbargain style, I didn't use Cash Rewards to Gift Cards - just wanted the $611 price.

So maybe if someone else needs it, then try this.
