Having owned both a bunch of Olympus Tough cameras and the previous model of this Lumix (FT10), I would prefer this one.

      • Definitely Lumix can take quality pictures but Olympus is signifantly cheaper for $99 and it's 10 metres waterproof.

I suggest you don't buy these Panasonic Lumix DMC FTxx cameras!
I used to buy Cannon's and break them on a near yearly basis.
Get them wet or drop them in snow, or on concrete.
I regularly destroyed them and upgraded.

Then I bought an Lumix FT1, that was early 2009…
I still have it, despite drops and water and snowballs.
Be warned. You may never have an excuse to buy a new camera again.

And they take pretty good photos/video etc as well.

    • Yep, I have an FT1 from around the same timeframe too.. tough as nails and decent pictures.. I'll be taking it round the world next year. Top value!

  • I got one, paid the extra bit for insured shipping.
The CHK10 code popped up but wouldn't work
