Very Good price for this drone + controller, same price at HN.

I personally prefer Amazon because of their great returns policy.

If you are happy to spend this much, spend a little more and get an RC2 remote. Just an opinion.

Source: owned a Mini 3 Pro. Currently own a Mini 4 Pro, Avata 2 and Neo.

Agree. Wouldn't buy a drone without the RC2 now.

I really want the RC2 remote but i cant justify the extra $300. Its a bit too much more IMO.

Do you have issues with the screen brightness? I read that its only 700nits and can be hard to see in bright light, is that true?

    • Should easily be able to pull that back to ~$200 (see my comment below). Bright sun yes you'll see issues but easily negated by standing in the shade of a tree, buying a cheap flip cover from AliExpress, utilising near full brightness, etc. I guess owning some Goggles 3 gives one some further options in that space. But yeah, investment curve can fast get out of hand.

See if anaconda has any near you and do a 10% price beat. I got one at chullora.

Having had five of these drones over the last few years (their "Care Refresh" replacement program is worth its weight in gold), $300 for an all-in-one remote with screen is nothing given how much easier it makes things. No having to mess around with phone apps or worrying about your phone not working properly. I couldn't imagine using this without the RC2 remote.

Yes it's "expensive" ($300 is cheap as I'm pretty sure new they're almost double that) but it's essentially a beefed up Android device with everything built-in. Super bright screen, plenty of battery life, and also provides the ability to record the screen onto an SD card - a good backup for your videos if you do something that may result in losing your drone (e.g. sea / cliff photography).

  • I paid $1277.10 at JB and that was way back Oct 2nd 2023, shortly after launch (no pun intended).

So no doubt there has been far better pricing since. But as a guide, that +$200 well worth it and it'll increase its resale as well if that's something you are interested in. Sold my M3Pro in eBay for a pretty penny right before the average Joe knew of the M3P release.

Thanks for that, might be a good idea to hold off until the black friday sales then and snag the RC2.

You were absolutely right to post this deal. It's a good price. One reason I love my RC2 so much is it has become super versatile. It's my go to controller for my new Neo, for example.

  • Isn't this just 30-40$ less than usual at best?

  • Price drop $50 more… $999 now
