    What's the RRP $649 ? So $30 savings

    • -5

Amazfit band 7 with Alexa + (phone GPS is superior ;) for only $45 (got 2 at that price instead ~$110).
So 2 for the RRP or 14x most popular SMART band ;)

  • Just a random question for anyone who might know: Why does Apple claim that the Series 10 (46mm) has a bigger watch face than an Apple Watch Ultra (49mm)?

    • +3

The Series 10 has got thinner bezels, so they can put a larger screen in a smaller case, not by much, though.

      • +2

Thicker bezels than then Series 7-9 though https://x.com/karanpmb/status/1833284515738898802

      • -4

With thinner bezels, 46 mm becomes bigger than 49 mm !! iMarketing ;)

        • +9

46 n 49 are case sizes, not the screen size.
The screen sizes are 1.92" for ultra and 1.96" for series 10

          • @shanlee: Didn't know there were different standards for watches vs mobiles. 1mm diff (very noticeable ;)
I'm (sea) sick of seeing non-metric measures combined with ISO standard measures (2 centuries ago)

      Series 10 (46mm): 416 by 496 pixels (1220 sq mm display area)
      Ultra 2 (49mm): 410 by 502 pixels (1185 sq mm display area)

lol they aren’t struggling with sales, Costco has historically always had the Apple Watches a few dollars cheaper

    • Yeah this, they've always got all Apple products slightly cheaper.

    • They do it with everything. Costco need to be ~5% better than the market as that’s their “hook”

      Apple isn’t struggling lol

  • Still no price drop on the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB - I spoke with JB Live Chat they did $100 off upon request, but that's about it so far, current asking price is the same as it was on discount two months ago.

isnt the ultra 2 a better option at $999? its currently $1399 at apple!
    might be a pricing error?

      • +2

Sorry, there is insufficient stock for your cart.

      • They won’t price match if there’s no stock.

      • Damn ultra 2 at $999 yet no deals for anything stainless steel

    • yeah I have a ultra 2 much better.

    • Thank you.
I managed to get it from OW over the phone.

Now regretting a bit though as I was going to buy the regular 10

      • Hey if its not a trouble, can you please post you're receipt, would like to get one as well.

        • They only gave me an order number but they said I should get it on Monday. If you’re in Sydney happy to sell it for what I paid- $949

          • @giacgal: Ah damn, would love to get it. But am in Melbourne :(

          • @giacgal: hey mate, i'd actually be interested, located in Sydney

          • @giacgal: would also love it if you could post the receipt. had a bit of trouble when i tried :( cheers

          • @giacgal: I'd be interested to buy it at that price in Sydney. Thanks

          • @giacgal: hey, sent you a message re this if you’re still looking to offload?

Better to buy direct from Apple and get exactly what band you want. The Nike Blue/Black band is the nicest sport loop ever and will definitely be a collectors item.

    • I’m torn between either going for the 42mm because it’s cheaper and it fits with my wrist size, or going for the 46mm to get the new titanium Milanese bands for the ultra.

      • and swapping your ultra loops to the s10?

    • Apple will price match it too.

5% Price “Beat” is where the real bargains at ;)

  • +2

Thanks op. Officeworks price matched. Even better with the OnePass flybuys deal - works out to be $587 for the 46mm.

  • +2

Thanks OP, no local stores have any in stock BUT I was able to order a 42mm over the counter delivered and price-matched @ $588.99.

Adding discounted gift cards and flybuys bonus makes this quite a sweet deal for a release day product.

By my calculation: (588.99x.9)/(647+588.99x15/200)-1= 23.3% off

  • Why would they be struggling with sales when it's practically identical to the Series 7?

    • +1

While I am very disappointed with the s10, I dont think they are struggling, to be fair most people dont upgrade every year so it is still material for those upgrading from S6 or SE.

I have a stainless steel s7 I won't spend that much again I might just get a base model but I am torn between a refurb 9 for $489 or a s10 for 619. (I might end up sticking with my shinning ss7 though :P)

      • I have a Titanium Series 7 that I picked up last year for <$400, and I don't really see any compelling reason upgrades on the Series 10 still (only exception might be the faster charging, if it was enough to allow me to only charge it once a day whilst getting ready each morning).

In fact my progression thus far was an Alu Series 3 to a Stainless Series 4, to the Titanium Series 7, and I think even if I did get a Series 10 the Series 3 -> 4 upgrade would still be the most significant.

  • whats the battery size/claimed/real world hrs for the 42mm vs 46mm?

  • Waiting for iPhone 15 Pro max to get to the Motorola G84 price of $284 to buy. Maybe in 2028?

  • Please let me know whatever other knoweldge an ozbargainer can utalise. =P

    one reason do not buy.

it’s Apple Watch with 18 hours battery life.

  • Will jbhifi match?

    • Probably. But it’s more of a deal when officeworks price beats by 5%. Up to you.

    • I tried, but JBHIFI wouldn't price match; they said it's a member-only price, which they don't.

Damn. You can buy an actual real watch for what they are charging for this Gizmo.
    Bonkers.

  • what's the best Apple Watch series to buy for a first timer who just wants to use a smartwatch for cellular activity and music while running, also navigation as a backpacker?

  • price matched at TGG. Just got to keep trying, 2nd time success.
