  yeah I have an RF body and I am in the market for a tele lens :D if it had a F2.8 aperture I would he all over this like a fat kid on cup cakes.

      More than likely two more zeros, the 200-400mm F4 is roughly 20K. The Sigma 200-500 F2.8 was 15kg, so let's say 25-40kg with a 150mm+ front element. It will take the greatest photo of an indoor cat.

    Not sure your use case but if want long reach and fast aperture for astro, better to spend on good telescope instead.

    Nonetheless, probably not easy to find one with f/2.8, at 800mm focal length the aperture should be no less than 286mm or 11-1/4” (likely the size of front element or mirror), this is huge.

    Probably better to do native mount, mount adapter always add bulk and weight, furthermore you add another 2x converter…
