55% off 1kg Coffee Subscriptions (Every 4 Weeks) + Delivery ($0 to VIC / $0 Orders over $50) @ Inglewood

490

My wife loves the Sunset Boulevard beans, so I am often on the lookout for discounts on the 1KG bags. Delivery is superfast, and the beans are roasted just prior to delivery. Genuinely a very good coffee. And of course, in typical OzBargain, fashion you can even cancel your subscription if you don't enjoy.

45% off every 2 weeks subscription.

Nice enough coffee but I hate paying postage.

  • Is it 55% every order ?

    • Looks like it only applies to subscription orders of 4 week intervals

  • The shipping is free

    • +3

Only if you’re in the People’s Republic of Victoria

  • +2

Any option to choose first dispatch date?

    • No doesn’t look like it. Which is a shame…

  • What's the shipping express or standard?

    • -3

      it's FREE shipping

      • He wants to know how quickly he will receive the order, not how much it costs…

        • -8

it doesn't matter, it's free. Assume standard, and a plus if it's express.

love how people complain about free shipping, the entitlement is out of control.

FREE FREE FREE, the one time in your life you shouldn't complain is when you didn't pay for it.

          • +4

@Hugh G Rection: This applies for a lot of things, but definitely not coffee. Many would pay extra for express as regular snail mail is not ideal when the fresh coffee beans are at their peak for only 5-30 days after the roasting date. These things matter for enthusiasts.

    • Standard shipping, 2-8 business days. Express is extra, 1-4 business days.

Weird comment from the other guy - express is important to me too in the Top End, the difference between getting coffee within a week or waiting 2-4 weeks for it.

The filter rotation would be nice, but with the express postage I'll be sticking with Direct Coffee's offers (with free express) or Lime Blue (express extra but can set your own dispatch dates). Both better roasters than Inglewood IMO.

I'm also a bit sceptical of the terms - not clear if this is a discount forever or one order or somewhere in between. There's a * next to save 55% on their socials but the terms and conditions do not seem to be written anywhere. (EDIT - in Insta comments they're saying it's forever as long as you don't cancel the subscription, but you can suspend it and restart with the same discount.)

so every month i can score 2kgs of BLVD for $55.80 correct ?

  • Great deal
We like the downtown which is billed as a seasonal blend..how’s that work for a subscription?

  • $32.90 shipped to regional WA. Honestly seems like a really good deal. Might have a new customer.

  • -1

Airjo subscription is the same price but express vs standard shipping.

    • +1

Tried Airjo (Sumatra blend?) just this month and prefer Inglewood (Downtown). Airjo is a little bland / inoffensive. Need to use less milk or it lacks flavour.

      • +1

Sumatra is a light roast whereas Downtown is a dark roast. You will need to grind finer / increase yield to get the best out of Sumatra. Light roasts require more 'work' to extract the flavours.

Sumatra is also more fruity whereas Downtown is more chocolatey.

        • Yep. Sumatra is decent as an espresso or macchiato, or even as a magic. For milk-based coffees I settled on pulling doubles + reduced amount of milk.

  • any idea how long this is on for?

i've just signed up for myself for home, but keen to try it out before potentially switching the work mecca sub over to this as well :)

Big fan of the Sunset Blvd beans. Our number 1 go to

  • +2

    Yeah, Inglewood
Inglewood always up to no good

  • This or lime blue?

    • I like darker roast, so this

  • HI There, is anyone able to verify roasting dates / freshness of coffee ordered upon receiving their orders please? I would hope that they would roast a day or two before posting out? Thanks.

    • I'd say it really comes down to the order volume and batches.

I ordered on 29 June (EOFY sale), but selected delayed dispatch (31/07/2024) as I was running down my beans, VIC metro area.
Shipped out on 30th July, received on 31st July evening.

      Roast dates:
Roosevelt 1 kg: 25/07/2024 <~ almost half-way through the initial two-week breathing period.
      Sunset BLVD 500g: 26/07/2024
      Sunset BLVD 500g: 28/07/2024
      Downtown 1kg: 29/07/2024

I reckon these roaster orders work best if you can line up your beans with supplies/shipping.

      • Thanks for that.
3-5 days post roast date to receive is acceptable especially for 1kg bags if you stretch it out for that month.

      • Old post but which of the three blends do you like the most?

        • +1

Hi ya, thank you for your question.

It is hard to choose between Roosevelt and Sunset BLVD because of their own characteristics. Let me try to describe:

Roosevelt: This is a very safe coffee-flavour bean. The beans/blend really delivers that stereotypical coffee scent that you will expect from a coffee. Pick this blend if you are after a very safe, no-thrills coffee tasting coffee blend. Gives you the oompf on its own as espresso, ready for you to pour steamed milk into it. Just a safe coffee when you just want to get a coffee. I pick this blend for my Mon-Fri office hours coffee needs/wants.

Sunset BLVD: It has a very laid-back and relax flavour profile. It doesn't try hard or give you that coffee-forward flavour to announce the coffee is right in your face. I like it a lot when I am pulling an espresso for enjoyment.

Don't get me wrong, Downtown is good too. But Roosevelt and Sunset BLVD stood out for me

Hope this helps. Wish you brew something tasty :)

  • Price isn’t reflecting for Bloom Seasonal in add to cart button, remains at $69

    • With every 4 weeks selected, this shows up in the Cart at $31.05 before shipping for me.

  • +1

The roast date is usually the day (or two) prior to dispatch for me.

However, the issue I find is that postage to NSW is around six days on average, and this reason alone has me looking for alternatives - which is a really unfortunate as I really enjoy the Downtown blend.

    • +4

That's just the right amount of time for the beans to degas, so it's actually optimal timing to consume when you receive it.

    • Thanks. I've been getting my beans from QLD and I'm in Vic Regional and find that I typically get my beans around 4-5 days after roast date using Aussie Post Express. As per comment below, the beans do need a good few days to de-gas, and 1kg lasts me 4 weeks post roast date and the beans have been okay.

  • Currently on 50% off with em, but this is a better deal. Only problem is I don’t need a bag right now…

  • Would be keen to know how long and easy it is to suspend.. and what impact does it have to delivery of the next batch.

    • You can skip shipments, so if you are on every 4 weeks it’s easy as going into the acct management and selecting skip. Most I’ve done is skip 2 months worth when I had too much or didn’t need it

      • So basically I can do 2kg every 8 weeks to avoid the $5 shipping?

  • +1

Does anyone know if this discounted price is only for the first of the subscription deliveries or is locked in for all future deliveries of the subscription?

    • In their Insta comments they're saying it's forever as long as you don't cancel the subscription, but you can suspend it and restart with the same discount.

  • +1

    Love this coffee.

Just one thing, shouldn't the fortnightly subscription (45%) be a bigger discount than the monthly one (55%) as you are buying more?

  • Adding a referral if you haven't used them before brings it down even further for your first bag. Definitely giving it a try, thanks OP.

    • how much of a discount?

      • $10 off first order, random referral link up the top of the post.

  • +3

Anyone know how long this runs for? I am interested but have enough beans at the moment

  • Thanks! 1kg of Sunset delivered for $17.90!

  • Has anyone received their order yet or a shipping notification?

Ordered on the 17th of Sep and still haven't received a shipping notification

    • Received mine Friday after ordering Tuesday evening (Metro Melb)

    • Same - no notification yet. What bean did you order?

Ordered single origin filter roast. I wonder if it depends on roasting schedule?

      • Ordered the Sunset BLVD

    • Was super quick. Ordered this morning at 11.22am, shipping notification at 1.43pm, expected delivery tomorrow (I'm in Melbourne).

My previous Inglewood orders have taken longer though and sometimes the roast date is several days prior to the shipping date, so I guess it depends on your luck.

    • Ordered on 17th of Sep
      Recived on the 25th Sep
Both Roosevelt Blend & Colombia Decaf EA Water Process 1kg bags (wholebeans) roasted on the 19th of Sep

It's a bit annoying the bags come with one way valves but aren't resealable

  • I got 1 Roosevelt Blend & 1 Colombia Decaf EA Water Process (both 1kg bags wholebeans), i got the shipping notification at 2 pm today so maybe they are starting to ship out these orders
