    Vanilla flavoured ice dessert. Hmmm

The chocolate is a bit waxy, but they aren't bad.

How come they can't label it as Ice Cream but they can put it under Ice Cream category?

    • So they can create noise for people ask this question and get the awareness?

    • I think its got something to do with the % of cream or some ingredient, according to my shady memory of another comment posted on here awhile back

      They identify as sticks.
You’re not allowed to question this.

    • Because it's not really ice cream, but really it is ice cream.

I just want Ice Cream that tastes like real Ice Cream

    Showing "Currently unavailable" to me.

    • Same

    • That probably just means currently unavailable for online orders. I picked up a pack from Sunnybank store (4109) just now and the store still had dozens of boxes left, but the online page still says "Currently unavailable".

Their marketing department needs to be fired. "Chocolate Coated Sticks" as a product name? What's next, "Iced Dirt"? "Literal Mud Cake"? "Shit… It's just dried out crumbly shit in a bag"?

    • They could actually rename it to Iced Dirt and it’ll still sell the same, $2.40 for a pack of 10 is a crazy price.

    • Maybe Coles doesn't want to step on the toes of branded ice cream suppliers.

      • Oh, they can't call it ice cream because it's not even close to ice cream - even in the description it's called "vanilla ice dessert" or some shit. That doesn't mean they had to call it a stick.

        • They still could have called it the Choc Treat For Cool Kids or something.

  • Yum, extra sticky

Why are saturated fats listed as 15.3g but total fats only 12.0g

    • The saturated fats are negatively charged…

    • I think sticks weigh extra 3g in case someone eats it

    • On the label it is listed 10.3g so probably fat fingers

  • Sticks are unbelievable

nasty home brand choc coated ice creams are a guilty pleasure of mine

    • When the other half wanted "Shit on a stick with pumpkin" for dinner ..I bought a box of these and a butternut.

What is with the product name, sounds like its fake ice-cream or something.

Lol that's because it is. Can't call it icecream unless it has ≥10% milk fat by weight.

Really hard to see how Coles brand "not icecream icecreams" failed 😂

      • Everyone in Coles will say this is ice cream. Take one box out and ask anyone there if you don't believe it. Nobody will say it as gelato …

        • What is it with you and gelato lmao. No one said anything about gelato, and there's more types of frozen dessert.

This doesn't meet the legal definitions for ice cream (or gelato, or sorbet, or mochi etc) because it does not contain the required ingredients.

Please read the comment before replying or you'll just look stupid :))

  • All the “choc coated sticks” I’ve tried over the recent years have been bad. The vanilla isn’t creamy at all - it’s too icey.

Has anyone found a brand that’s creamy? There used to be one my parents always bought when I was a child, I think it came in a 20 pack. Nothing has compared since

    • Its not creamy be its missing milk / cream!

  • I'm pretty sure if they've priced them somewhere around $8-10 they'd sell great, they need to make their price more competitive. Most don't even read SH to read or care about ingredients. Have to wack in more thickeners and flavour enhancers, will be a hit!

This is the cheapest ice cream in Coles in terms of weight and price. Usually $4 normal price. If they are $8-$10, many people will prefer other brands.

  • They would go nicely with my chocolate salty balls.
