Steps:
1. Start a Trade-in Order - Trade in any brand of smartphone to qualify for the additional Officeworks Gift Card associated with this Promotional Offer.
2. Purchase your Apple iPhone 16 Series model from Officeworks during the promotion period.

    just be careful for 5X flybus points. last time i bought an iphone and despite being one pass member, i wasn't Qualified for bonus points. Apparently special orders are exempt from this claim. If your store has it instock on that day, you will get points. Otherwise it will be considered as special order. YMMV

            They have made sure nobody gets the bonus $250 gift card by intentionally delaying the process.

            I went ahead and created the Trade-in request and did not get the gift card after 20 mins of wait.
            However, when I read the email confirmation email carefully, it says that they will send trade-in gift card in 24 hours after receiving the phone.

            Further, the OW website has gift card option for checkout but when I searched the OW help to see what all gift cards are accepted, it says gift card is not accepted online 🤣😂. However, I still hope the gift card issued by the trade-in partner is accepted online 🤞.

            Bonus 250/- gift card is a separate story.

              @TheMills: I came across someone’s experience from last year's trade-in promotion where they had to pre-order online and do a click and collect since it couldn't be done in-store. They then went to Officeworks, requested a refund, and then paid with the OW and ultimate gift cards. Sounds a bit complicated, but it seems like a way to save a few bucks!

                @delay no more: It's one-off a scenario as OW stores are not obligated to do that. Stores can easily deny the payment swapping.

                Also, If more people try this stunt, OW head-office will have no issue in forbidding the stores to do so.

      They had this offer last year as well but this year they published this trade-in bonus offer only when the pre-order started. I was actively looking for it so that I am prepared.

      After the pre-order started at 10pm, the trade-in website stopped taking the trade-in from 11pm. How crazy is that?

      And now when they did start, they say the tradein voucher will come in 24 hours after they receive the old device.

      OW needs to get their shit together as they have made it quiet impossible to get the $250 bonus for the customers.

    iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB on their website is worth $840 (plus $250 gift card) and I just did a quick search on MobileMonster, you can get $1010-$1050
    so not that much of a difference
    I'd prefer to get $1010 cash then buy one from Apple or JBHiFi with 10%-15% off gift cards

    Telstra also offer $275 credit for the trade-in toward the purchase new iPhone 16 lineup, but they mentioned the trade-in device should be under Telstra service. Does it mean the customer cannot trade in any device since it might not be under Telstra's service?

      Base trade exceeds apple. I got $190 for a 12 mini, and $25 for a 12 mini with a cracked back glass + $250 bonus for each. going to buy an apple watch with the funds anyways so it works out.

          $180 at apple for a iphone 12 mini 64gb. it has a battery that requires "service" as the life is 68%.

          Mobile muster doesnt allow anything less than 80% or they do a huge deduction. Apple doesn't care, and Moorup (officeworks) doesn't care and offered $190 + the bonus.

                @meowsers: I bought iPhone 16 Pro from office works picking up on 20th September. Looking at their trade in deal for iPhone 14 Pro 512GB it’s coming out to be $765. Now re the $250 voucher I can’t use this as cash or towards the phone. I have to wait to buy something from OW which I may not have any immediate plans.
                For Mobile monster I locked in $960 cash in good condition. There’s a clause I agreed if they don’t find it in good condition it’s $920 but I’m confident it will be $960.
                It looks like MM reduced their trade in deal.

                  @justanick: Fair enough, if you don't have anything you need then it doesn't make sense.

                  For my example I've got my wife and I who both have identical 12 minis, mine is in perfect condition but with a terrible battery and hers is absolutely destroyed (cracked back glass) moorup still gives $25 for it and the requirement for the bonus gift card is that you at least have to receive some value in order to qualify for the bonus.

                  So we will get $190 + $250 + $25 + $250 + the bonus x15 flybuys worth $315. I'm planning on getting a apple watch with the money.

              @kin1106: Yes I did see that - however I thought the wording is ambiguous as to whether it is referring to the 'base trade-in value' gift card, or the bonus $250 gift card, or both.

              Logically I would have thought the latter, because the trade-in process should have nothing to do with what new device you are wanting to purchase. So I would've expected the gift card for the 'base trade-in value' to still be issued instantly.

              Really wonder why they've changed the terms of this offer - why would they care whether the gift card is issued instantly or days/weeks later?

              Normally I would absolutely be chasing them up on this - however this promo ends tonight, so there's really not much we can do at this point but suck it up.

    Amazing … Placed an order yesterday and received the phone today. I wasn't expecting it that fast considering Apple delivery was suggesting in October.

    Did my iPhone X as trade in for $105 the best deal I could get for it plus waiting for $250 gift card + 15x flybuys points (OnePass). So in total saved about $500 ($250+$105+$150(flybys points)
