Was looking for a replacement YTX7L-BS for my motorbike and managed to get Supercheap Auto ($118.99) to price match The Battery Base ($76).

Just went into my local SCA, showed them The Battery Base website and emphasised that they offer free delivery. Dropped off my old battery for recycling at SCA at the same time!

    Great prices. Thanks OP.

    Great share OP, thanks.

How did you know which battery will fit your bike? I tried searching on TBB but it doesn’t show by brand/bike etc..?

    • Try googling your bike? Or take out your existing one. E.g. A lot of Kawasaki's will just use the YTX9.

      • Yea’ll look when i’m home - I just expected there’d be some what to check on the site haha

My old battery was the same model number from a different brand which made things pretty easy.

When finding a replacement battery, the most important things are:
      1. Capacity: the voltage and amp-hours should ideally match what your bike manual specifies. My Honda VTR250 bike manual specified 12V, 6Ah.
      2. Dimensions: make sure the battery will fit in your bike's battery compartment. My old battery was a perfect fit for mine, so I made sure the new battery had the same dimensions (113x70x130mm).

Good prices. If I didn't move to LiPo I'd be grabbing one.
