  • which section are these normally? thank you

    • +3

They're in the Asian section at my local Coles.

  • Love these, good driving snack but it's tricky shifting the stick with a handful of husks and always leave a mess in the car.

    • Oh wow. Never thought you would have these while driving, especially in a manual.
Unless you just spit out the husks out of the window haha!

Cheers, mate! Yeah, they're bloody ripper for a road trip, but trying to shift gears with a mitt full of husks is like wrestling a croc! My car looks like a dingo's breakfast after a bag of these—pure chaos. Might need to carry a dustbuster next time

      • I usually put an empty cup in the holder to dump the husks in when the hand fills up but it's still a messy game.

    • I just eat the whole thing …. Husks and all. Extra fibre.

    • What don't you do while driving?

There's a chinese pecan flavour that Colesworth don't get which is the best of the bunch, followed by fivespice

    • I used to binge eating the pecan flavour one but i overate once and the sweetner left an unpleasant aftertaste that lasts hours.

      Seasalt flavour is very addictive!

  • Great deal. I don't undrestand why neither Coles or Woolies have the original flavour.

    • Yeah, red packet is best.

    Product of China 🤢

      Product of racism 🥴

      • +2

Even my Beijing friends preferred oversea food over the local produced food…..baby formula is the obvious one. Critical of Winnie the Pooh is not against the Chinese people or racism.

Exactly which is wny i prefer not to buy food grown in china

      • +2

This whole labeling someone a racist because they point out something is pretty toxic passive aggressive behaviour. Having traveled extensively around China I know very well where food is grown and how heavily the waterways are polluted to levels that that make the Bladerunner movies look like Hawaii.

If you have no manufacturing regulations, no sewerage regulations, or emission regulations, the food supply becomes so tainted that it is toxic to human beings.

So no not racism, just fact.

    Bird food

  • Actually, the Chinese pecan flavour from "Laojiekou" is much tastier than "ChaCha".

    • And where might one buy this product. Must try!

  • Only 12 items available in one online order, and random availability in store.. I would take 50 to stash and combine with Flybuys promo for a targeted amount spending.

However, the red one has the same promo https://www.coles.com.au/product/chacha-roasted-sunflower-se…

  • Fun fact: they have almost 30% of protein.

    • Indigestible

No, but less bioavailable than say whey.
