  • Up voting because curious, but this is nearly double the price of the earlier deal on an equivalent ultra wide 34" but without webcam, speakers or a usb c hub. Is it really worth nearly double the price?

Link to the deal with an 34" ultrawide for $187?

Unless you're referring to this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/864516, which is $234, which is quite a bit more than half the price.

It's hard to ascertain whether the extras are worth $140.

I've used one of these monitors at work, I would say the webcam is decent, but not amazing, probably comparable to something like a standard Logitech C920, which is around $80-ish on sale, speakers are probably worth like $30 or so. This one also comes with the stand, which may be useful to some (though my sense is that its height too low to realistically be useful). Having built-in USB-C is useful, especially given a USB-C dock with charging is around $60-70 refurbished.

      • That's the one. Yes memory wasn't failing me on the pricing of the other deal. Good summary on comparing the deal. Sounds like it's still a step up from a laptop webcam.

  • This or s3423dwc or something else for price range around $400?

  • U is for Ultrasharp what is C for?

    • Probably curved

    • Conferencing. They seem to have dropped them as a separate series - new monitors with webcams are in the other series (U, P etc)

  • We have this at work

Wiping with a rag is not refurbishing.

  • Another corporate who outfitted their office with these is no doubt closing down floors due to everyone now working from home :). We had these at my last workplace, they were fine though can't really comment on if this is good value or not.
