    Be patient. These things drop fast.

    You can easily get last year's model for under $1000. Even cheaper used.

    Same chip. Double the battery. 50% more RAM.

      I agree just wait til they are sub $700-$800 then its a good buy.

      Although the latest listing was a Z1 not extreme at that price falesly advertised from Amazon US

      stack with discounted gift cards, only a deal if you've left them accumulating from all the stacked cashbacks (otherwise 2% $32 isn't much a saving)

      JB HiFi has some decent gift cards and sitewide offers to stack sometimes but it's so rare they stock something i need vs amazon (by time spend depreciate beyond 5% p/a interest rate)

      and eBay prices typically higher than RRP so i don't bother GC with them anymore
