        how do you upgrade it?

        • +1

          Sideloading etc. Hard work.

  • can you open websites on this? i read a lot of books directly from sites

    • yes, you can also install e-ink bro browser

  • never heard of this one. is it better than the scribe and remarkable 2?

    • Also interested to know.

    • +1

Definitely not better. Software is a mess. But is cheaper.

  • Also $174 if you have Student Beans account

    • Thank you. Just canceled my order

  • literally put it in my cart and now it's gone

  • oos

  • great price.

  • had it in my cart for like 15 min but decide not to buy.

got a kindle pw and kobo sitting somewhere already … 99.99% chance I won't use it.

  • The new reMarkable Paper Pro is out. Bigger and colour e-ink screen. But costs about $1K 🥲

    • At $1k you gotta ask… how much is the 'focus' part of a focus device worth to you?
Not to mention, if you get it with marker + either of the folios, it's closer to $1.4

At that point… you may as well get an actual tablet, right?
      They're dreaming.

      • Even the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2025 I got recently only costs around 450-550 AUD, and that is a full-fledged mid-range Android tablet that can do pretty much anything that an e-ink tablet could, like note-taking, reading PDFs, and even having decent battery life.

You can even simulate the e-ink experience using the Reading Mode on the Pad Pro 2025, which can significantly reduce colour saturation or making it fully grayscale, while optionally changing the refresh rate to 30Hz to conserve battery life.

1k for these novel e-ink devices doesn't seem to make much sense, especially with their software limitations.

  • Great price for under $200.
